Attention to cooking détails required. Fried plantain greasy, grilled meat has too much bones. For the price, too much bones. Packaging needs greater attention. I firmly believe cook and owner can Improve all of the above

I visited this wonderful restaurant few days back. Initially looking at the menu I was confused what to order especially since I hardly understand French. However, the daughter knew English well and explained me the menu in detail such as cooking style, ingredients, what kind of taste I should expect. I was quite hungry, so I ordered Half chicken combo with plantains and rice. While I was waiting for the food, the daughter offered me their traditional hisbiscus drink called Bissap. I must say it’s so refreshing and tasty at the same time. It’s sweet sour and has some extra zing to it. Finally, my order comes, it’s a well marinated and grilled chicken. The char is clearly visible which made it even more tempting. ( to all my Indian / south Asian friends, it’s similar to white tandoori chicken. They even put a spice mix on it called kankankan similar to our chaat masala. They served a green dip which was amazing but not at all close to our green chutney). Along with chicken, they served a brown looking yummy rice which is very different from the usual rice varieties. Initially, I had my reservations against plantains but surprisingly it was slightly sweet and crunchy. After the lunch, the mother came from kitchen and showed me the unique rice variety. Both mother and daughter are doing an amazing job representing west African food. Overall, their food had ticked all boxes - taste, texture, visual appeal, aroma.
