Fairstone

I've literally never heard about this company until they sent me solicitation letters in the mail. Clearly they're buying our information. Feels so intrusive, gross.

We have dealt with two amazing employees at Fairstone. Jordan and Mike have both made sure to ensure their dedication in helping us. They both had quick responses and answers and made sure to get applications done so quickly. We have had terrible experiences with banks. Thank you to the both of you and Fairstone for giving people hope.Diana :)

Lorne is the absolute best! He is fast, accurate and on point. Fairstone is always there when I’m in need and quick! They help you understand the full process and help you along the way to get funded! Can not recommend more! Love this place

Lady named Sam is very pushy and sneaky about selling insurances on loans. She is a big liar who has been trying to lend more money without your wish. She makes it sounds like it’s mandatory to take insurances. Fairstone need to come up with a better plan to teach their employees how to work. Poor customer service. Don’t deal with her

My review is meant to be truthful and objective.I refuse to complain about the high interest rates. They don't hide this, you sign it and it is disclosed before you agree. Fairstone is for ppl building or rebuilding credit. It is what it is.However...Back in October 2022 I filled out an online application and never heard back for 6 days. Everytime I called the phone went to voicemail. I even tried calling another branch & the 800 # but they told me they can't help since the upper Ottawa branch had already started my application.On day 6 I literally went into the branch. Ironically they did not appear so busy that they couldn't answer a phone for 6 days!!! I had even left 2 voicemails. I was told they were busy and their managerwas off ( not such a surprise considering the behavior). This level of CS is unacceptableAfter me complaining about the lack of a return call and saying I was going to call head office they processed my loan the next day.Convenient as they deposit funds into your acctIt remains fairly boring. I make my bi weekly payments on time everytime and they leave me alone.Last week a payment was sent to cover the balance of my loan and I received a call this morning stating the account was paid in full and I had a credit of $113 that would apparently be deposited into my acct within 30 days???This is where I get irritated.You gave me a payout letter, you are paid and now owe me $. Upto 30 days is ridiculous. I would like it if MY $113 was held to the same astronomical interested rate that I paid Fairstone.If you can deposit funds same day for a loan payout your clients back I'm the same proper manner. Or is it clients on the way out are no longer a valued priority?I even offered to pick up a cheque to which I was told. we don't do that"I won't complain about the inevitable facts I agreed to but I will complain about the absolute horrendous CS at this branch both on my way in and out.I give 2 stars as once I could finally get my application processed it was a quick deposit into my acct"

Please stay far away. They switch management what seems like every week.They never write notes on your file which results in 3 phone calls a day as soon as you fall even one day behind.They have zero compassion. Even if one of your families is passing away around the holidays. They still will harass and continue to be extremely rude over the phone and not work with but only against you.

Purchased furniture from Ashley furniture and used fairstone for financing, went and paid them off, and 2 weeks later the furniture came on sale, so Ashley’s credited us, but now Fairstone is giving me the biggest hassle to get my money back, they want to give me a credit. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I have called over 10 times and either get disconnected or they blame Ashley’s saying “it’s there problem.”I WILL NEVER EVER USE FAIRSTONE AGAIN.I advise anyone thinking of using them…. DON’T..

I had such an amazing interaction with this company. Christine was incredibly polite and informative. She made the process effortless and stress free. Would definately recommend and use again.

I applied for my loan from Fair stone, I dealt with Manpreet Kaur. Manpreet is an amazing professional who knows her job. She explained all my options and amazingly guided me, she is carrying, hard-working and dedicated in her profession.

Every once in a while I scramble looking for funds to close a cash only deal, I came across the great people at Fairstone. It may sound odd, however I was surprised when I met with them only to find that the service was five star and the completion of the transaction was handled with kindness and compassion.All the best Fairstone.Murray Scott
