Both my son a daughter went to Backbeat. I am a long time musician and I was amazed at how fast and how well they started playing. The summer courses are a great way to see if your child is really into it and Backbeat takes care of the rest to keep them interested and playing in bands and performing.Dan and Nella are simply the best!

Excellently tailored classes for children.Bigger beats offers the students an opportunity to try a particular instrument for a few months - enough time to learn the basics of the instrument, a song, and to also keep the interest alive in music, even if that instrument doesn't end up being their favourite.My 6 year old daughter was gifted a ukulele and wanted to learn more. That's how we found out about Backbeat. Since enjoying Bigger Beats - Ukulele class, my daughter has taken another Bigger Beats class - Vocals. Her excitement and sense of rhythm are growing each class and she can't wait for the Piano and later the Drums classes.

Backbeat has been a great experience for my kid. It started with their summer camps which lead to joining a band and taking private lessons. My son began drumming by taking only private lessons with another school. The lessons were great, but he wanted more and Backbeat had the answer. Joining a band with like-minded kids has been awesome. He enjoys the environment, new friends, the instructors and looks forward to the concerts every few months. The Backbeat environment is upbeat (no pun intended), encouraging and supportive. The staff is great and are flexible with scheduling to accommodate other activities. I highly recommend the experience for anyone looking for to grow their inner musician.
