Pacific Hotel Wiarton

Clean and nicely decorated on the inside. The outside can be a bit misleading. It's in an older building so there's some creaking on the floors and not the best in terms of privacy. Breakfast was not offered as mentioned in the reservation. Apparently the restaurant is under renovation.Free parking.Town is very dead and not a lot of options for food.Overall nice accomodation for one night or two. Host was very pleasant.

While we were on our way to Thunder Bay we stopped here for dinner. Had some of the greatest chicken curry I ever had, the meat absolutely melted, flavour soaked absolutely through the meat. Never had chicken fall apart so easily before. I live eight hours from Wiarton but I would literally walk the distance to have the food here again. Words cannot describe just how great this food is. I will forever rate chicken curry or any food for that matter using the curry chicken here as a model. Before I had this curry I never ate in my life, swear on my life. Even afterwards no meal I've ever had has ever dared to compare to the chicken curry I had. Would sell my soul to have this food every day.

1800s building with 2 floors. We were 0n the second floor. We could go out of our room and turn left to go on the balcony . Beautiful view from the balcony. Yvonne the hostess was God sent. My husband broke his ankle and Yvonne did everything she could to make my husband comfortable. Yvonne kept our suitcases in the office while my family drove all the way from Orono to bring us home as my husband could not leave the hospital till they arrived. We enjoyed our stay at Pacific Hotel Wiarton. We will go back. Thank you Yvonne for your kindness and generosity. I wish there were more like you in the world.

I was on a bicycle trip from Kingston to Bruce Peninsula National Park and had to stop in Wiarton after a fall. Yvonne went above and beyond to make me comfortable, giving me ice for my ankle that was hurting and helping carry heavy saddlebags upstairs to the room, which was impeccably clean and very comfortable, with a spacious shower. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stop in Wiarton. I also stayed there on the return journey and had the same amazing experience. Thanks so much again for everything, Yvonne!

Not worth the price they charge. Room had an abhorrent musty smell and the toilet seat was broken. The entire hotel is infested with SPIDERS as well, and you see them as soon as you enter the lobby. Good luck sleeping after witnessing over 3 dozen hanging above you. Best you look elsewhere.

I spend a couple nights at the Pacific Hotel, everything was clean and tidy, friendly staff. I would recommend anyone passing through Wiarton that would be a perfect Hotel for them to stay at.

An old building but well maintained. The owner and the staff are very friendly. They stayed up even past the check-in time. Not the best breakfast buffet but has the necessities. It is close to Tobermory which makes it a great place to stay For the night and drive to different destinations

They do not update their vacancies properly on booking websites. They called us (group of 8) on the day of our check-in to tell us that our room has been taken by someone else. They did not offer any compensation and basically left us without a place to stay on a busy weekend. Strongly recommend finding another place that regularly updates their booking postings or at least holds themselves somewhat accountable when they make an error.

We are booked at this hotel, a cottage, it has 4 bedrooms which suited our group. But we can only stay in only in 2 rooms in the upper level because of aweful smell and damp feeling in the lower floor . There are spider webs everywhere and we had to call the cleaning service before we start using the upper level living room. Absolutely not recommended to stay here. We booked it as we didn't find any other place to stay over this weekend. Skip this one, it's not worth the pain.

Had the suite as I was visiting for one night. One adult and 2 children which the staff was made aware of when booking. There is only one bed and a pull out couch. I feel this should have been mentioned and ask if I was ok with it rather than having me pay with my card over the phone and it be a surprise after they have my money.There is a $55 charge if you do not wash dishes you use. Happened to read this in the info package. I didn't end up using any dishes, but feel like I should have been warned about this on check in.Hot water heater for the room is very small. The info package states you may run out of hot water if you have a long hot shower. You will. That's not really acceptable, especially when 3 people need to shower.
