ABES College

I never doubted ABES when I decided to go back to school. I heard a lot of positive feedback about the school so I decided to go for Medical Lab assistant here. I recently graduated, even before the graduation I got offered a job at my practicum site. I am very thankful for ABES and all the people behind it. The school helped us to be fully prepared in the real world of healthcare. highly recommended!!!

I graduated from ABES back in March, and I can honestly say I am so thankful that I went there instead of the other colleges in town. They made it so much easier to transition into working by having expectations and rules that would mimic the expectations of our career. The class sizes were just perfect to make sure each and every person got the time they needed to understand the subjects. If you're looking to upgrade yourself and start a career ABES is the place to do it. Every teacher on staff genuinely cares about the students and only wants to see them succeed. ABES taught me a lot about not just the career I wanted to get into but also about myself. So thank you to everyone on staff there for making going to school such a good experience.

Thank you ABES staff for all your amazing support. From admission, I was guided and got all the support that I needed. The instructors are amazing, they are always there whenever I needed help with lectures and assignments, they are so kind and accommodating. My practicum placement was a superb and amazing experience, offered and accepted the job 2 days after I finished my practicum. Great experience, ABES College is a life changer! Way to go ABES!! The Pharmacy Assistant program was amazing! Admission process was easy due to the helpful staff. The main office staff had such a fun, welcoming presence. The small class size was perfect. Our instructor has been a pillar of the program, making himself available if help was needed before class, after class and during placement. Everyone at ABES is there to help you succeed. They genuinely care for their students. Thank you for everything! If you are just out of high school, considering a new career, if you are new to Canada, or going back to school after not attending for a while, give ABES a chance you won't be disappointed.

I took the Community Support Worker Course last June, it was the best decision I made. The staff/teachers were always so helpful, supportive through my education but also through the personal issues I was having during that time. You truly can tell they care about you and your future, it doesn't just feel like a school it feels like a big family. I now work full time as a community Support worker, working with people with development disabilities and love my Job and I wouldn't change it

I had an amazing experience with ABES College. My life single handedly changed within the 6 month period of my program. Right out of practicum I had 2 jobs offers, and now I work full time at at clinic I love. Thank you ABES for the amazing opportunities and the amazing people that I met through your program!

Great school, I attended the fall 2022 intake. Such kind and wonderful instructors. The MLA program is amazing and very hands on. I would recommend this place to anyone who is considering the program. I’ve also meet amazing people during my time at ABES and still keep in contact till this day. Overall 10/10 experience you won’t regret it !

Going back to school as a mom with 3 kids at the most challenging time in my life and taking the HCA course at ABES has been life changing for me. In fact, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. All the staff from admissions, administrative/office staff, our program coordinator, our teachers and our school director were all very professional, friendly and very supportive. You can feel that they put their hearts in what they do because they will do their best to help you, equip you with the skills that you need and support you in any possible way they can for you to succeed. The program was well organized and the small class was perfect. I finished my course in November of 2022 and was employed in December. I am currently working part time at the Rockyview General Hospital where I had my final practicum and I also work at Chinook Intercare where I had one of my clinicals, only I work at the Complex Dementia Care unit now. I am forever grateful to ABES college and I highly recommend ABES to everyone. At the end of my work shift, no matter how challenging that shift may have been, I come home feeling fulfilled because I am doing the job that I love and know that I have somehow made a difference in other people’s lives by not just applying the skills that I have learned to help others but most of all, by doing my job and helping others with Compassion and Empathy which were the values instilled in us by our teachers, program coordinator and school director from the start til the end of our course…. the values that we will forever hold on to as our commitment for being in the health care field to be able to deliver/ give the best patient/resident/client care. Thank you again to all the staff of ABES college. ABES COLLEGE IS THE BEST!!!!

Last summer I made the decision to go back to school as a Adult learner. I have always been interested in Health Care so I looked into different careers in that field and knew Unit Clerk/MOA would be the right fit for me.From the first phone call with ABES through to the graduation I knew this college wanted what was best for me. They interviewed me, provided guidance and helped me secure financing for the program.Stepping into the college to learn was a amazing experience. They set out their expectations right from the beginning. The lessons and tests were easy to follow.I loved that everything was included in the cost, nothing hidden or extra. The level of the teaching was top notch. Being taught by people who work or worked in the field was great. They brought real life to the course.I think if you are looking for small class sizes. Excellent experience and professionalism you should look no further. ABES is the best out there.I loved while on my practicum people would stop me and tell me they went Abes as well, and then we would chat only to discover they had the same group of professors.Greatful for the experience I gain from Abes. I graduated working as a Unit Clerk. I have no regrets. I would pick them again.
