If you want to treat yourself to amazing pastries or a great coffee, you should visit Café Forêt Noire, a lovely little cafe on Robson.The selection of pastries is great, with something for everyone, even picky kids. The prices are a little steep, but well worth it.

The croissants here look really aesthetically pleasing, but the taste is not there. They weren’t very flaky/buttery and the texture was a bit off (there were giant air pockets in the croissant - I’m no expert but the better croissants I’ve eaten had better distribution of air pockets/layers). The croissants also felt a bit stale. The coffee was decent, but the croissant was a big disappointment.The decor of the cafe was a bit strange - it almost felt like they were trying to combine too many elements/themes into 1 venue (Parisian backdrop, modern seating, plant wall - it didn’t fully match). But all would be forgiven if the croissants lived up to the hype!

The cafe is clean, chic, and they have a nice selection of beautiful French pastries (and gelato!). We tried the trendy wheel croissant— pistachio flavour. The pistachio cream in the inside is very light and subtly sweet. I'd recommend it for the experience.Also, they have great coffee ;)

I literally loved the passion fruit croissant! The cream inside was very delicious. With a great soy cappuccino it was an amazing treat to have in a hot summer day.

French classy cafe style. I only stopped by for a coffee and a Danish. And I really liked it. The danish was very fresh and tasty. Decor and ambiance are nice, calm and relax. Service is also quick. Great place to stop by.

Walked in passing by.They have very good choose of pastries salty and sweet. I've tried a French quiche. It was good, delicious but the coffee was not. Staff is friendly. The place in not overcrowded. There are places to sit and it in a lovely atmosphere. Soft music plays to make it more pleasant ambient. Recommended to who is not so spoiled for good taste of coffee

Love Love Love.They had a deal going on today to buy 2 pastries and get the third one for free.My lucky day, I guess.Every single one was delectable.Foret Noir Cafe never disappoints ❣️.I tried Exotic Danish today and it was yummy. Flaky with tasty fresh fruits on top. Strongly recommend..Today I tried the Portobello quiche & Portobello Pizza.Both were fresh and tasty. I love the special sauce they use on their pizza!

Love, love, love this place. I found it quite by chance.I went to the one on Robson Street. Charming would be a good word to describe it. The pastries are to die for and the coffee that goes with it will leave you wanting to order more. Lovely breads too to take home. Very friendly people and there was a slice of France sitting inside sipping coffee and eating their delicious croissants. A place I know I will go back to again and again. Enjoy!

This French cafe just opened recently but it is already very popular because of its delicious pastries, coffee and nice personal. I definitely recommend trying one of their signature items, The Cube. However the place felt a little bit understaffed, the service was still good.
