Still NO visa!!!!!! All plans ruined…SHAME on the French consulate for being so disorganized and incompetent. How can you go about stating a 30 day processing time on your website, then take months to process applications. There is complete disregard for the thousands of dollars people spend on flights and accommodations. Shame on all of you in the visa department. HOW CAN YOU ask people for evidence of accommodations and flights for a visa and then take such a long time that we can’t get refunds or use them. What a waste!You must update your website to reflect the several month processing time for visas, work longer hours or hire more people in the Visa department immediately.

There is security check as per any embassy, turn off your cellphone. Important to note which province you’re applying your passport from even if certain offices are closer need to be mindful and thorough on the process and ask questions pertaining to your situation.It’s inside the Eaton center on the 10th floor enter from the construction side

Terrible service, that’s IF you consider the consulate to even have the sense of customer service. Made a mistake on passport and it is impossible to get a hold of anyone at any given time. Stayed on the line for 2.5 hours for them to hang up the call because of their lunch break. Pitiful to say the least. When picking the passport, they rush you so quickly that you can’t even verify the information nor does the agent verify each component prior to letting you leave. I am utterly disappointed in my consulate. Zero stars if it were a possibility.

After I read these comments here. I got so scared about processing time but I Had a good experience with this consulate. I got my short stay visa in just 8 days after I Submit my application to VFS. Don’t worry and good luck to all

Good day,My wife applied for visit visa and we are supposed to travel to Paris on Jan 10th. Till now (jan5) we haven’t received any update regarding the visa. The visa appointment date was Dec 8th, and the very next day the status was updated to “under process”. We are really stressed out as we have invested a lot of money in this trip already. If someone is seeing this, Please help

their booking system seems to be designed to actually avoid booking anything. Register to a wait list -> get a notification there may be a spot open -> try to book a meeting -> be told there are, in fact, no spot open -> register to a wait list -> repeat infinitely and never get any service done. I guess if you don't need a passport or other vital services it's fine, but otherwise it is absolutely terrible.

I was getting sick and worried after reading the reviews on here. Incase this helps anyone here is my timeline;Visited VFS Toronto to submit for a French Schengen visa on 31 March 2023.Received notification that passport was at the French Consulate Montreal on 3 April 2023.Notification that visa had been processed on 18 April 2023.Passport received with visa in it on 19 April 2023.Grateful everything was done and dusted in 18 days!

[Update: finally received a response after reaching out to the Deputy Consul General- Montreal. highly appreciate his prompt response and guidance.]The experience can be improved a lot anyway.Terrible service. It's been more than 65 days(Application submitted on 30th March 2023) and no response or updates from the Consulate about the visa approval.

Very difficult to get an appointment online so I went to the office and said I have to do it online only fridays at 3:30.. how ridiculous.. we are not all available at 3:30 on Friday.. some people have to work!! The security people basically told me too bad.. that’s the way it works
