Chilliwack Library

My children and I love this library. We really enjoy the sitting areas for reading and there is a special spot for teens. The staff are wonderful and it's easy to self checkout. The movie section is amazing and we had fun petting the giant giraffe. This library is close to the bus stops and shopping. My family just loves going to our local library!

I loved lots of variety and the staff was really nice, they help me get the library card

The library is well stocked and staff are very nice but it would be nice if children visiting it were taught not to shout and run wild. Also, having to deal with the the druggie and homeless that surround the library, hence the reason for a security guard inside, is quite intimidating for a library visit.

I know this is a review for like 20+ years ago. However; it doesn't look like it's changed. My brother and I would come with my mom and have fun at the library. We also like walking around the outside looking at all the animals and stuff.with that said for small kids I would said it's a great place of both balance of nature outside and fantastic inside. I also like that they still have lots of activities for kids still.

Great staff, broad selection. Particularly enjoy the ever growing collection of educational toys and kits in the Playground" category of the collection. Each one of them have added some value and fun to my kids' library experience."

Having lived in area almost 60 years, I'm probably biased! Just a great place to relax and use facilities. Staff always friendly and helpful. Facility very çlean always. Like most libraries, the problem with transient/homeless, security is required for safety of staff and visitors which is alien to the older users, like me! Well run, friendly establishment regardless.

My family love Chilliwack Library. Absolutely Amazing Environment. Favorite place to spend free time.

The staff is wonderful. I bring my grandchildren there and they love it. I also drop in to make that puzzle there is in process and I have met some nice people there. The staff have gone out of their way to help me. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years to all the staff.

Awesome library! Accessible with a stroller and kids. Lots of book selection and games/puzzles for the kids. Two things;1: People who have made the library park their home… everyone is entitled to visit the park/library but I can’t say I feel safe walking through with two kids and seeing many drugged up people who are half sleeping half walking around and yelling at us.2: the security guard in the library told me I needed to keep my baby quiet while I visited… sorry, but it’s nearly impossible to keep a baby quiet anywhere especially when she is excited about the toys and books. Disclaimer; she wasn’t crying or screaming but just laughing and pointing at all the stuff going on in the library.
