Courtenay Marina Park
A great place for a peaceful walk and watch for the river otters between the marina and the mouth of the estuary. Be sure to go at sunset at some point as you look back from the point towards the mountains!

Awesome park by the water. The new amenities are great. There are lots of covered areas to stay dry in the rain. The new kids playground makes me upset that I am not a kid anymore. It looks like a lot of fun.

Courtenay Marina Park
A great place to enjoy serene, picturesque and pleasant walk when in Courtenay. It runs parallel to the river and have some amazing views. You can also view small aircrafts landing or taking off along the path.

There is approximately 8 km of assessable paved/road crush pathways that run along the river walk along the Courtenay River and through Millard Park. You can;Wander through the Rhododendron garden, watch light aircraft take-off and land,Birdwatch and wonder at the spectacular beauty of the Queneesh Glacier at sunrises and sunsets. The Kids Rotary Sky Park is a fun social playground for toddlers to elementary school-aged children. There is an assessable washroom attached to the cafe located just off the north end of the Courtenay Airpark and an assessable porta-potty just south of the Sky Park, adjacent to the parking lot.The entire park system is animal friendly, HOWEVER, dogs must be on leashes at ALL times, NO exceptions. There are picnic tables along the Courtenay River, at the parking lot, just south of Sky Park and beside the Millard park, parking lot.

The trails around the air park and areas around the marina are great for dog walks and excersise. Fun to watch the planes take off and land. Occasionally you get lucky and see a helicopter come in too. There is a child's playground and the opposite end of the air track.

Courtenay Marina Park
This park consists of a paved walkway along the Courtenay river and estuary. There is also a playground for young children. It is very popular with walkers and bird watchers / photographers. Part of the riverwalk goes around the Courtenay airpark's runway. Washrooms and parking available.
