Bancroft Tent and Trailer Camp

We fell in love with this park about 9 years ago, we rented the cabin with our toddler and then came back for a couple more summers and rented trailers.. it was love at first sight for us. It's a quiet park. It's not rowdy. If you want rowdy you can go to Wasaga Beach. People still know how to have fun here and have a good time read all the other comments. Unfortunately, there's drama everywhere you go. If you don't want that, don't go looking for it.. I love this park ! The owners have been great here .

I am returning to add my review of one star. I was approached regarding my recent review of the park that was not in their favour. My husband was confronted on our lot that we had to leave due to my review and lack of apology. When I overheard and voiced my my thoughts and explained myself (yes obviously upset) my husband was informed he was amazing and welcomed and then very ignorantly in front of many people that I was not welcomed. We had an incident last year where a grown man was swearing at my son and a friend. Nothing can of it other than they “talked to him”. No apology to my son or us. Nothing. Yet we stayed. I voiced some thins we weren’t happy about (yes maybe I was being picky but I kept it private), I accepted the response until I was informed that they don’t appreciate being told how to run their business. We have been nothing but respectful for the past 11 years. It’s a slap in the face. My two young teens have longtime friends there and we have continued for the sake of their mental health, as parents our childrens happiness is our #1 concern. So when confronted I apologized as well as removed my review and still agree that if it were a review on my business I would be upset. After my family taking these steps as requested and talking through we woke to an email this morning asking us to leave. I do want to add that Sheila did say she loved my family and didn’t want us to go. I want to say thank you for standing behind your word. Just be careful, there are many good campers here and there are also some that you need to watch what you say around. Happy camping only. If you are dissatisfied you might as well pack up. I amjust heartbroken because my son having autism doesn’t make many connections with other kids. I have to now tell him he cannot spend time with his best friend as he has the past 11 summers. I did my part. Thank you.

Always neat and qell kept. The owners are great and the local residents are super friendly.

A hidden gem on route to our home, we were driving back to Owen Sound from Ottawa and were looking for a place to camp out with our new fifth wheel for a night or two, we ended up extending our stay for an extra two nights because we have been enjoying our time so much.It’s family friendly, awesome playground, the lake has plenty to keep the kids busy and it’s an awesome place to unwind by a campfire.Mike and Sheila hospitality has been amazing from helping us park our fifth wheel, to pumping our flat tire they have made this place memorable and awesome!We will be showing more on our YouTube channel My Big Trips

Super friendly owners, very helpful when you’re in need, like us as we had just purchased our fifth wheel and this was only our second stop on our travels back home from purchasing our trailer. They gave some advice and helped me set up. Ended up having a flat tire when we traveled from our last place and the owner pumped up the tire for me and told me where to go for getting the tire fixed, (2 minutes around the corner from the park)If we come back through this area we will surely be visiting again! Our two young kids made lots of friends and loved the play ground and the water slide and just playing on the small beach.Thanks for the welcoming visit!

We have been camping here for 16 years. Started out as transient but our kids loved it so much we went seasonal. It's clean, well cared for and a quiet place to spend time with the family. The owners have taken care to keep the tress cleared enough to keep bugs low but still offer wooded lots and forest trails.

This is a great camp. The owners are extremely caring and helpful people. Thanks to the GOVERNMENT, they are forced to increase the rates to upgrade the sewer system which at this time is working just fine. But let me tell you, it is still resonable. You'll find this out if you check around. They have free crafts for children every day, karaokeboth for kids and adults, euchre every Friday night , horseshoes every Sat. Ifyou have an issue they are right to it. This is a well run snd well looked after park.

Nice site. Relatively clean, and nice and friendly owners / staff. They were able to accommodate my drop-in on a bicycle request fairly easily despite them being pretty busy. It looks like they have a dozen tent sites available and several dozen seasonal trailers. There is a great beach to swim at with some water features for kids, a nice sandy bottom and a large dock with some benches to sit at.

First time camping seasonal. Started out ok but didn't work out. A ton of miserable people trying to control youLots of rules. No noisy kids at the play ground aloud. People with issues. Over charged for wood. No privacy and they don't like dogs. Be careful. Sketchy campground. And the trailer park is for sale. Don't bother with this campground huge mistake. Horrible experiance. Owner was constantly on my case about anything and everything. Face cord was short of a foot high of wood. So much more to say but can't be bothered. People are.favored some are.allowed and others are not. Adult kindergarden... book now ... must know sign language no noise aloud. No music aloud no fun aloud.. ok let me sum it up for you. They are better then you. And if u stand up for your self they will have u leave. So take it like a man. Lol

We have been to many campgrounds through out Ontario but always came back to Bancroft tent and trailer camp!! It is my kids favorite place to be and we wouldn't have it any other way!! Thanks Mike and Sheila for having such an awesome park!
