I am grateful beyond words for the 3 years of amazing care my Mom had in the Leduc residence, as she journeyed through the prison of Alzheimer's / dementia. The staff treated her as if she were their own grandparent, with such kindness, love, caring and compassion. And on those tough and challenging days, they would say that it was the disease talking and not her. Such patience. Their care made my time with my Mom so easy as I didn't have to worry about her. Thank you so very much for that gift of caring.

The site where my mother resided was the Schonsee location however I have had to deal with head office as well. What a total nightmare. I would never recommend any of their establishments to anyone.There is no accountability. November 8th I made my 1st request for documentation on my mothers, behaviours, general discomforts, pain levels, sleeping and eating habits. I requested this documentation because after a 10 day isolation period and me not seeing her in person for almost 3 weeks she was not able to lift her neck from her chin, she looked like she lost 10lbs, and was in a lot of pain. I have since made multiple requests and have not received any information.Well at the hospital she was given a weekend pass. I brought her there on a Saturday she was so happy and relaxed to be back at her home. The staff told me she was not allowed there. They even sent me an official letter banning her from the site even under my care. However they still expected rent.From August 31st - December 20th the staff left 20L toxic waste pails in her room. They never followed any of the waste disposal policy’s. The pails were not even properly sealed.I also found a single pill on her floor. I can only imagine what would have happened if my toddler found it 1st.I completed a move out inspection with a staff member from the site. The entire sheet was marked in excellent condition. The staff then sent it to head office, where they took off charges from the damage deposit for painting, cleaning and disinfecting, carpets. Head office had never stepped foot into the room.After sending multiple emails, outlining everything I have now received an email from their lawyer threatening me with defamation because of my reviews.

Our folks live there for a year, and during their stay an unfortunate occurrence of flooding happened, the folks left the place and were not pleased with the meals at the end and the way the place was in an uproar for the 4 months to repair water damage to their suite, they left in august and on the 3rd of September lifestyles took out Septembers rent, to date no one has returned calls regarding the monies which is excessive $4000.00. No compensation for the disruptions to their lives and the stress it created. No a nice management group. Great support staff though

Most of the staff are great, can get gluten free meals.The reason for the 3/5 stars is moving out. They charge a full extra months rent when a person passes away. My mom had a stroke January 5 and passed away 6 days later. I cleared out and cleaned the suite, and did the walkthrough January 25 so they had almost a week to get suite ready for the next tenant. When I asked about the full charges for February, they said it was in the contract when she moved in 2 years ago.Residents are charged extra for the intercom, pendant, and pay for their own power, phone, internet and tv, parking, if they need help getting to the dining room, extra nursing services....They also charged for terminal cleaning, maintenance, painting, rug shampoo, etc. in addition to the rent. They offered a $3 a day refund. Wow - they budget just $3 a day for 2 meals per resident?When they had 2 outbreaks of covid in staff, they were not honest in their communications to families - we were just told the residents would be having meals alone in their rooms.It is an older facility but they try to keep it neat and clean.

My mom is in an area that looks like it is meant for toddlers. Very disrespectful for a senior. Even if they are starting to deal with Dementia. They deserve to be treated like a human like anyone else. Staff have poor attitudes towards patients in this part of the building. The staff also park in visitor parking and they don’t provide any access for family other than having to hunt down a staff member to let you through the doors. At least they should use a keypad and code so that people don’t have to struggle to come and go as they see their families!!!

My mother was dependant on care there which was substandard. Upon moving both my parents from this senior residence ( each on separate floors) closer to me, the facilty charged an unambulatory woman ( required staff to go anywhere ) for damage to window blinds she could not physically do. They took $500.00 off the damage deposit. I fought this (theft) charge and still am. The board offered $200 back for good will. Unacceptable and I consider this financial senior abuse.

There will never be another place like Lifestyles for my Mom as in all Mom’s years of being in another senior home designed for people with Dementia, I have never come across such caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and understanding staff in my life. They are all worth their weight in gold and if I could give each and every one of them a million dollars, it wouldn’t be enough. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my Mom!!!! I above anyone else know that my Mom was a real challenge most days but somehow the staff at Lifestyles always found a way to brighter her day. God Bless them all.

Very poor lunch meals. For the price one pays, you would thing it would be hot and much better than dry tiny portions. Four French fries wouldn't fill a chicken.

Moved a new resident in with the company I'm employed by. From my personal experiences, the staff seem like they are sincerely engaged in their positions as care givers as anyone I witnessed or was within earshot of was nothing but polite and respectful in the most helpful way possible.
