Recently my mother and I took a trip up to Hamilton from Windsor to watch the university national volleyball championships at McMaster University. When we arrived at Mac, we noticed that one of my front tires on my vehicle was dangerously low and flat to the point of no return. One more hour on it and I would’ve been driving on 3 tires. Well thank goodness it did not hinder us on the 401/403 highways or else it could have been potentially life-threatening. Already being slightly overwhelmed with being located in a different city that was unfamiliar to me and a few hours away from home and the looming potential of being setback in dealing with the obvious problem of perhaps not being able to go home when and how we anticipated with the tire in such rough shape, we then spotted the shop across the street from the campus and they took great care of us right from the get go. Eric and his team were kind, courteous and professional throughout and VERY quick to diagnose the apparent serious problem and respond accordingly to address that by putting on 4 new tires after going above and beyond to get them that same day from offsite and even noticed other concerning issues with the car that we were unaware of on the same day within a 2-hour window to ensure that we had peace of mind restore in returning to our originally scheduled weekend plans out of town and more importantly getting us back on track to get home safely. Huge shoutout to Eric for being a hero, who instead of wearing a cape was wearing 4-leaf clover hat. It was our lucky day meeting him on the day after St. Patrick’s Day as he and his crew provided outstanding fast friendly service while being fair throughout. The shamrock luck and amazing service from him at the helm was critical in getting us back on the road safely! Thank you once again! Highly recommend!

When I picked up my car after an oil change, the engine light was on. I called the next day expecting to arrange a time to bring it in to get it reset. Obviously something was set off during the oil change. However, the two guys at the service desk was horribly rude and outright lied to me, stating that it is not possible that something happened during the oil change and that I would have to pay $130 for the issue to be diagnosed. A simple google search proved this is false. As it turns out, my car reset itself, proving that it was indeed caused by the mechanic during the oil change. But I will never bring my car back to this Active Green+Ross. Please beware - the service advisors at the front desk are not honest.

After years of being a customer, I won't ever go back. I had heard from friends who also went to this location this that things really went downhill after Chris left and Eric took over. My experience confirmed this.I had a seasonal tire swap and oil change scheduled for May 6th. I was in the process of going through a move and was travelling from Newmarket. I arrived for my appointment only to be told that they hadn't pulled my summer tires out from storage and I would need to come back. I ended up having to come back on May 15th at 830am, again driving from Newmarket on a day I had to take off of work. While somewhat apologetic, Eric did nothing in the way of offering me a discount to cover my additional time and mileage to travel back. I ended up having to spend two half days to get my tires swapped and my oil changed because of their mistake, and still had to pay almost full price for both, not including the time and gas it took me to travel back and forth. I requested a discount from Eric and he refused to offer anything else to compensate for his mistake.I haven't lived in Hamilton in over 6 years but have always travelled back because I trusted Chris and always received great service. Those days are now gone.I won't ever go back and recommend others to stay away as well.

Do not trust them to properly install tires on your vehicle. They installed my wider rear tires on the front causing vibration and damage in the wheel well. When i first recognized the vibration, I returned to have the tires retorqued (as the owner suggested). Then after the vibrations persisted after retorquing, i returned and the owner said my tires would need balancing. The car is 8 months old! - the summer tires had only 4 months of wear ! The tires did not need balancing. They needed a service centre that knows what they are doing. Sensing their advice was off-the-cuff nonsense intended for them to sell me another service, i returned the car to the dealership service department where they diagnosed A G&R's incompetence- which actually also caused damage to the front wheel well (because the tires were wider) and emphasized how unsafe the installation was. When i brought this attention to the owner of A G&R, he offered absolutely nothing to try to make amends for their incompetence- not even a refund of the tire changing service.I would not be writing this review had they simply taken responsibility for their shoddy service.

Very expensive oil change. Costed me $130. (Mr. Lube is about $80) couple weeks ago.Now, cost me $155 for a safety inspection! Then tried to scam me to selling my car for $800. And when I said I would like to talk to other people and dealership they discouraged me to seeking a second opinion.I don't know if its new owners, but I really liked the people that worked there in 2018-2021 period. Currently, absolutely terrible and unprofessional!Don't trust them, and avoid. Especially if you don't know much about cars.

Eric was more than willing to match prices of other active green and ross outlets. Showing he will not be under sold on tires After i showed him the quote prices for the same tire in writing Shows that he puts his customers first.
