I am not sure if these positive reviews are fake but I have just had a terrible experience with Compufix.I brought in a high-end gaming laptop (that I use for computational science work) that wouldn’t post and that had fans that ran wildly.After having it with Compufix for ages (a couple of weeks) and paying hundreds of dollars it is retuned to us with exactly the same issues: won’t post and fans run wild — still completely unusable.Very upset — feel like I’ve been scammed — and because I went to this shop because of their positive Google reviews am putting out a warning to others to not risk your equipment and money with this place!!Other minor signs that worried me when I dropped the laptop off were that the man we dealt with had never heard of Ubuntu or Linux operating systems and more worrisome didn’t seem to know what “posting” even was.I want my money refunded as my laptop does not work at all — same condition as we dropped it off in — appalling!Note that I looked into it and CompuFix is not accredited by the BBB (no account there) and no account on TrustPilot either.

Excellent service for a laptop computer from a very knowledgeable and personable staff!! Repairs were well explained, budgeted, timely and professionally completed. Highly recommended!!!

I recently had an accidental water spill on my macbook pro, and the screen stopped working. I called Compufix and they talked me through the process and what I should do step by step. I brought in the computer and for only $200 they cleaned all the corrosion and got my computer working again, the second cheapest place I found was $299. I am a student at Queens and needed my laptop as soon as possible, and I can't thank them enough for their incredible service.

Thought I lost my brand new laptop after a spillage and my system went blank on me. On top of that, had lots of assignments due for submission. I took my system to Compufix, and they definitely performed a miracle. They got my system fix quickly too. I'm so happy. Will recommend Compufix to anyone who needs their services.

Took two of laptops in for repairs a Thinkpad X240 and a T450 about a month ago. X240 had shorted out due to spilled water and the T450 I was unable to completely replace new keyboard. They had the T450 up and running that same day. And to my joy they had the X240 running the next day. Turned out the RAM was corrupted. All-in-all was quite pleased with the service.

I took my wife's All-in -One in as the CPU fan was not working. They checked and confirmed the issue and then installed a new fan. When I went to retrieve it the gentlemen demonstrated the slowness of her operating system and offer to replace the hard drive. It took two days I have the machine back and everything from the old Hard Drive is on the new one. These are excellent technicians and very friendly and helpful team of workers. When I was leaving they said just call if their is an issues. It is a pleasure to have honest professionals to deal with. I strongly recommend CompuFix. You shall not be disappointed.

Amazing service... a well-deserve 5-stars.I brought my macbook in for repair on Thursday afternoon. I had already called a few other shops, and they said they don't have the parts until mid to late next week. Being that this is the only working computer at home, I needed it to be fixed ASAP.The owner was very nice, and after hearing my desperation, he said would try to order the part right away and see if I can have it early next week. It was very nice for him to do that, but I was doubtful that he'll get the parts he need quickly since it was already late Thursday afternoon and also right after a pretty bad winter storm.I got a surprised phone call from him Friday afternoon. He explained to me that he went ahead and paid extra (OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET) to expedite the delivery of the parts. My computer was fixed and ready to be picked up in less than 24hrs. The same repair that other shops have told me it was going to take at least a week.Furthermore, his call came in15min before closing on a Friday afternoon, I told him, with the bad driving condition out there, I would be impossible for me to make it before closing. Then he said he would wait for me...I highly recommend this.

Excellent service. They repaired my laptop in a day (hard drive replacement after a major crash) and went above and beyond with their assistance to make sure it worked for when and why I needed it

Very quick and efficient. I took my laptop in on a Friday afternoon because of a virus. It was done and ready for pick up on Saturday. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back.
