Picks & Sticks Music

I have been taking guitar lessons here for about 4 months. My music teacher Sean is fantastic, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. Mason the gentleman behind the counter sold me a Jay Turser Les Paul and Marshall amp 3 months ago and I am still pleased with the guitar. Great service. Mason set up the guitar for me and threw on some strings. More than pleased with Picks and Sticks.

I’ve been coming into this store for a while buying strings and such for my acoustic. I’m a beginner and my guitar felt really hard to play. I mentioned it and they said bring it in. Well, for a very small sum of money they fixed the action and it’s like a brand new instrument. Genius. These guys are awesome. They have all my business moving forward.

Best music store in the city! You walk into Picks and Sticks and you never know who or what you might find. They are always bringing new products for beginners and for seasoned players. But the really cool thing is the staff. Mason and company are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about not only music products but also events that are happening in the city. Not to mention that Picks and Sticks has LEGENDARY musicians TEACHING at there store. It's really unbelievable hearing stories from the teachers at Picks and Stick of who've they've played with and where. It's no wonder that so many well known musicians come by just to hang out! What a cool place...

I bought two danelectro pedals a week apart, the second being today. Both of the pedals I couldn't find at the other shops in the area so finding them here was outstanding. And I ended up paying less than I expected. I cannot recommend this shop enough for anyone who's looking for a great entry to mid level guitar, or an acoustic. The guy that works there is really good dude who knows his stuff, I over heard him helping some new players and their parents while I was trying a pedal and he's exactly the person you want to see when buying a first or second guitar, or if your buying for your kids. Hes honest, patient, and made sure the customers I saw him with had all their questions answered, and answered them honestly. Its a great shop to check out, the prices are unbeatable and I like i said, you can't ask for a better person to help you with instruments.

Great helpful staff whether you are buying a guitar, drum sticks or a ukulele or taking lessons for guitar, bass, piano or vocals!! Mostly love the lp record selection, rare albums in great shape!!! Always seem to run into cool musicians in the store and Gord Lewis from Teenage Head gives lessons there also. Local vibe not like the big box music stores you go into

Had a lovely 1st-visit experience recently at P&S's. Purchased a guitar for our daughter - which she absolutely loves! The owner was helpful and friendly. Can't beat this cool location on our wonderful Locke Street in Hamilton. Keep up the great work guys!

Absolutely fantastic store. Has all your guitar and percussion needs covered. I've gone here numerous times and come out satisfied in the product I'm buying.
