Clarity Laser Vision - Customized LASIK/PRK/TSA Eye Surgery Calgary

Super great team at Clarity right from the consultation to the surgery and beyond, I even had to move my appointment and in the begininning at the consultation they said they were flexible and they were. I was given the option of either LASIK or PRK and I decided to go with PRK as I had the time to heal. Dr Al-Ghoul and his team are phenomenal down to the optometrists, Michelle the surgical coordinator (really really helpful with anything you need), the front desk personnel, the assistants in and out of the surgery room, the nurses and more. Surgery went really well, the actual surgery time (the laser work) was like 30 seconds each eye, the prep before hand and putting the band-aid contacts on afterwards and recovery before discharge was the longest time and which they didn't take that long either. You will also have Dr Al-Ghoul's phone number if anything questionable comes up or emergency which is very comforting. It was blurry right after and for awhile (will talk about it more but it was about 6 weeks were it went away) and the 24 hour check up went great. Then the one week went great, I was one of the lucky ones with no pain the whole time post op surgery, the contacts got removed but was blurry still but getting better, I was about 20-35 or so and after an eye exam and testing was given permission to be legally allowed to drive and had rolling crystal clear vision but then at times was blurry. It was like that up to my 4 weeks (1 month) appointment with my optometrist. They told me it was partly due to dry eyes still but also the eyes were still healing. Sure enough about a couple weeks later my vision came in pretty well clear all the time and have been improving since. I have my 4 month check up in 3 weeks then will have my 1 year in November next year, will update accordingly for both of those. Excited for what they will bring!!If I had to do it again, I will for sure get it done...having no glasses has made world's of differences and opened up so many new experiences. Like only needing sunglasses, not searching for glasses to see in the morning, going swimming and not joining the wrong family or friends accidentally haha, but also comes things getting used like not having glasses there in front of your eyes when the unexpected happens and the glasses were there as a guard haha.Thanks Clarity Team!!

Where do I start! Growing up you always hear the horror stories that are associated with laser eye surgery. Having gone to Clarity and another big name laser eye clinic for consultation the clear winner was obvious. Dr. Al-Ghoul being a very well established and talented ophthalmologist in Calgary really puts your fear and anxiety at ease. His equally professional staff does numerous tests and use a plethora of equipment to ensure your eyes are a good laser surgery candidate. I have to even say that the price difference between the two clinics I went to were not much different, but Clarity Laser really makes that price difference worth it. From the second I walked through those doors I knew that I was not just another number on a spreadsheet to them. My eye health and vision success was their top priority. Alaina made sure you understood everything from start to finish and top to bottom before letting you decide. The surgery itself was phenomenal, Dr. Al-Ghoul ensured I felt comfortable during the entire process, and he gave me a personal follow up call that same day after I've gone home. I really can't rave enough about this clinic and I have already told numerous people to consider Clarity Laser when they are ready to make that decision. Thank you so much for my new visual freedom!

I highly recommend Dr. Al-Ghoul and his team at Clarity Laser Vision. My optometrist referred me here, and she was spot-on with the recommendation. I felt safe and well cared for by the team before, during and months after the procedure. Dr. Al-Ghoul worked with me with great patience and empathy on the day of the procedure when I was experiencing some anxiety about the procedure and provided alternatives/solutions that met my needs. I ultimately elected to go through with PRK. Dr. LaBelle has provided incredibly attentive aftercare. Surgical coordinator Alaina Polowick was a welcoming and informed resource who made me feel I had an open line of communication for any question or concern I needed to clarify. I had a fabulous PRK experience at Clarity Eye Care. I originally had a consult elsewhere and wasn’t convinced. I took a second chance at Clarity and am so glad I did. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful the whole time. I was very anxious leading up to/during the surgery but both Dr. Al-Ghoul and is operating room staff were very calming and talked me through every step which was very helpful! My recovery has been smooth with no issues. I would recommend Clarity to anyone looking for corrective eye surgery.

I recently had an ICL surgery at Clarity, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The entire experience, from the initial consultation to the follow-up appointments, was outstanding. Dr. Al-Ghoul, who performed my surgery was highly skilled and professional. The surgery went smoothly, and the recovery process was faster than I expected. I could see clearly after 3 days and my vision is at 20/20. My only complaint is that the wait time is too long. My experience could be better if my wait time was more reasonable. In general, ICL surgery at Clarity has been a life-changing experience!

My experience with the Clarity Laser Vision was an extremely positive one. From the front desk and admin personnel to technicians and doctors, everyone was super easy to work with. They take the time needed to thoroughly assess and provide an individual approach. If post-surgical care is taken, the results are amazing. Even though I underwent the PRK procedure primarily for employment purposes, now that I am familiar with the results, I would warmly recommend it as it enhances the quality of life.

I recently had Lasik with extra so I can read and see long distance. The staff are completely fabulous, nice, friendly and very caring. On my surgery day, I was extremely nervous but the staff, nurses and doctor took extra time and walked me through the procedure step by step. After the nurse and the doctor personally called me to check on me! Excellent service and I would 100% highly recommend them! Thank you for the excellent care!

I underwent refractive lens exchange and would happily recommend Clarity Laser Vision. Right from the beginning I was impressed. I’ve never had such a thorough examination of my vision. The staff were very professional and friendly and they walked me through all of the options available to me. They took the time to explain all the pros and cons of each, answered all of my questions, and addressed all my concerns. They detailed the steps to the procedures and the risks involved making me feelconfident and informed. Their care and attention after the surgery was just as thorough.
