Good food without being amazing. Brisket sandwich pictured. Lovely setting on the water. Music slightly off putting making the ambience odd. Good service. Not the cheapest option around.

Definitely reason why it's the #1 rated restaurant in Gravenhurst. Had to make a reservation for a Friday night due to high demand. Service was good. Quality of appetizers were good. The generous portions for the main pastas was a pleasant surprise. The amount of protein in each dish was also overwhelmingly good. Had I not been so full, I definitely would have wanted to try out the desserts. The restaurant is located with a nice view of the lake in the patio. It's nice to accompany your dinner while watching the sun set. Definitely coming back whenever I'm back in the area!

Nice and relaxed atmosphere by the water with soothing background music.Lunch was excellent, my wife had the shrimp and scallop spaghettini and I the linguine pescatori. We'll definitely be stopping by again soon.

At beginning of season, Wayne and staff accommodated our big group despite uncertain numbers. Every interaction was friendly, welcoming, and professional. When we arrived, staff were excellent, food was oh-so-delicious, view was great. Everyone in our group was very happy with their meals and experience. I highly recommend Dock of the Bay.

Best things to order here are:1. MUST GET - White chocolate crème brûlée2. Crab cake appetizer - SO good3. Get the Bison Ribeye for sure.(The scallop pasta wasn’t the best, but the scallop tray was amazing)

Lovely fine dining restaurant with great views of the lake. Service and atmosphere is excellent. Linguini dish had good flavour and though the pasta was probably made in house, it was too overcooked and clumpy and wasn't as good as store bought dried pasta. We also had the chef's special braised veal cheek and it wasn't good (to me). It is served on a thick slice of baked sweet potato and mushroom gravy with a side of steamed vegetables. What I didn't like was that the veal cheek was too rich. Perhaps pairing it with some carbs would have helped cut the richness of the protein (the sweet potatoe is definitely good but didn't help cut the richness). Crabcakes were very good, grilled calamari was ok. It was over cooked so a bit rubbery and the excess char made it a bit bitter. The lemon cheesecake is very good as well as the chocolate cake with tiramisu filling (they claim it is made in house). The pina colada is very good also. I didn't take any stars away for the food rating because I felt it was my personal preference and not a reflection of the establishment itself. Our neighboring table commented they enjoyed their meal and the restaurant was somewhat full indicating it must be good.

Location perfect! Reservations made to watch the sunset while enjoying a great meal. Was the steak worthy of the price? No, but it was good. The chicken ceasar salad was nice. The prosciutto in place of bacon was odd but the husband enjoyed it with his steak. Was a little thrown off by the unseasoned chicken breast addition to my salad but was a good source of protein so I ate it. Very generous with the parmesan, always a plus. The lemon cheesecake wasn't worth the calories consumed, sadly ... but I did eat it all because I'm not a quitter ... I think the lemon was missing ...I'd go back another time and probably just order drinks and enjoy another sunset overlooking the water ...

Great place with outdoor seating by the water. We didn't have a reservation and arrived around 12PM on a Saturday yet fortunately were seated at a nice table outside. The server was very polite, had immaculate professionalism and also gave us good recommendations. The food was great though very few vegeterian options. They accepted our request to modify certain dishes to make it vegeterian, which is great for people looking for non-meat options.It is an expensive place but food was great so maybe worth it. If we are in the area again we will definitely visit again.

Dinner reservation for 8 ppl on a Monday; wasn’t very busy when I arrived at 5pm. Definitely recommend making a reservation for 6-8pm. The presentation of all their dishes looks amazing and the taste of every dish was great too. The only disadvantage with sitting outdoor is tons of flies and bees roaming around making it extremely hard to enjoy your meal.
