Made the mistake of ordering on a slower day (Monday)and a little later closer to 7.The chicken was awful likely was given the left overs that didn’t sell earlier. Very dry, the skin was barely on most pieces (6 piece leg family meal) and the legs had that really awful dark meat taste (that cardboard like, foul protein taste, if you know, you know) that it gets unless it’s fresh and cooked in the right way.I can understand the desire to reduced food waste (for profit considerations considering this is a business) however by that standard I would expect a discount on the food and to be asked if I want the older chicken at a standard market discount of 50% off for old or near expiring food or if I want to pay full price for the fresh. At least have the option and be compensated in some way that I am getting old chicken. We couldn’t even finish the chicken especially the thigh area close to the bone that had the strongest foul dark meat taste. I always get dark meat at SC and rarely have had such an issue!Also, what is with the portions these days?! The chicken looks like it’s for a kids meal and so does the tiny portion of fries that it comes with. Who serves this on a plate/in a box and thinks it’s appropriate for the adult customer who will eat it?

The two stars are for the help only. The hostess and the waitress were excellent. Both were friendly and efficient at their job. It was the food that I had a problem with. I've been eating Swiss Chalet for over 60 years and the food quality has definitely dropped in the last 10/15 years, but this time it reached a new low. My dinner contained small plastic bristles, which the manager brushed off as feathers. First, every one was identical in length and circumference, Second, they were all approximately 3/4 in length. Not so good experience. The waitress forgot what we ordered and messed up. The food wasn’t that tasty. The pumpkin pie was frozennnn! We told them that it was frozen so they gave us another one but still very cold! While entering I asked one of the waitresses is there anything they do for birthday, they said they’ll let me know which they never did. The only reason I gave two starts is because our waitress gave my partner a pump of cherry drink with his coke because he wanted cherry coke but they didn’t have it. I took Shirley Temple but it looked and tasted like cherry soda!

My husband and I came here for dinner last night. Our server Sam was very friendly and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was good. I got the extra special festive special meal with the dark meat quarter chicken. It was all very tasty and came with a glass of red or white wine. I chose the red and it was quite nice. My husband got the chicken wrap and the soup which he enjoyed. We will most likely be back!

I normally don’t give bad reviews but our dining experience tonight was not good.The biggest thing was our server Kristen. It’s seemed she was maybe doing her side duties in the back (it was an hour and a half to closing) cause she had all of her tables waiting. We waited a good 10-15mins for her to even come over to greet us yet she walked past us a few times didn’t even says she would be right with us just didn’t make eye contact. Then didn’t do a quality check after our perogies came and they were cold in the middle so not a big deal but her not come if to check so 5-10mins later I flagged down the hostess to go tell her. Then she didn’t do another quality check after food or new perogies were brought out so then when we had to ask her for stuff she acted like we were bothering her and even when I asked for a refill she walked away and said mhhmmm. I was dumbfounded I used to waitress for years and years and I’m sorry I know people have bad days but she should not be a server for many reasons.

Won't be back to this location. Father's day and we entered before the rush. As we waited other tables were seated. A table that was seated just before us was now eating their meal. We thought maybe it was because they ordered easy meals like 1/4 chickens.After 40 mins our waitress finally came back to say she wasn't sure where our appetizer was and would look into it. She brought us our garlic loaf which was half the size of the plate.At the hour mark the manager approached us stating there was an issue with our meals. The waitress had put in the order after the rush came. The manager stated it would be another 20 mins before our meals were ready. We did not have to pay for our 4 drinks and garlic loaf as we left.I'm not looking for a free drink and appetizer. It was Father's day and this left a very sour taste in my mouth. I won't be back to this location.If you have a special occasion, look somewhere else.

The quality has really tanked at ALL Swiss Chalets. Ever since Cara Foods took them over the chickens they are using are half the size and they are overcooked and dry.I came back to give them a chance after repeated horrible delivery experiences from another Swiss Chalet in Oshawa. This visit was just as bad. Kids pizzas were burnt and overcooked.Servers were nice but it can't make-up for the poor food quality. Pre Covid this restaurant used to be rammed......now it's barely 1\3 full. Can only guess a large part is the food quality.

started to call at 745 to place a order for delivery, was placed on hold for 17 minutes,only for some kid to come on the line to say i had to call back and push 1...did so...only to be put on hold again for 10 minutes, then someone comes on and states sorry we are not delivering past 830pm..i explained that i was on hold forever and then this kid gets snotty with me...the very last time we will EVER order from these asspuppets,rude and totally lost in spaceThe funny part is they give you a reference number and a form to fill out, a friend of mines wife worked at Cara foods for years and stated they don't even bother with the forms, so why should we bother supporting this or any of Cara's foods restaurant's?all the negative reviews cannot be wrong...avoid this place if possible. Mismanaged and the staff are clueless.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had a swiss chalet!!! Bad service, horrible fries, dried-out chicken and everything cold. I ordered a quarter chicken dinner in a combo so it came with soup which came cold. The service took forever for a waitress to take our initial order and then a long time for the food to come and even more time waiting for the final bill. But the worst was the food!!! I have never been served such disgusting fries in my life. Take leftover fries you've had in your fridge for 2 days and then throw them in a deep fryer for a couple of mins, that is what we were served! We did ask for replacement and they were not much better. Seriously bad! with leftover fries from what felt like days previously! We did call the manager over, she took one look at the fries and said oh yeah they don't look very good do they! I'll remove it from your bill!The chicken was also not good being dry and barely warm. Not a good place to go!!
