Juan is a great teacher if you are interested in learning Spanish. He is knowledgeable, outgoing, and very passionate with helping his students. His lessons were fun, detailed, and flexible. He is very patient and cares about your progress in the course. Juan motivates and encourages you to improve your Spanish skills and conversation each week. I also enjoyed conversing with other students in the class; which strengthened my skills of speaking more fluently. I would highly recommend him!

I took the level 2 Spanish course and learned so much!! Juan is amazing and we really got to practice speaking, listening, writing and reading Spanish. I feel much more confident now in my skills, would definitely recommend anyone to join a class☺️

Juan is an excellent teacher! He provides an environment that is non judgmental, patient, flexible and fun. My Spanish has greatly improved as he focuses on the individual and bases his lessons on what he sees needs improving. 100% recommend.

Juan is amazing! My mother and I started taking spanish classes in early 2018 so we could visit my sister in Dominican Republic. Now I’m on my way to live there for 6 months! He is very detailed on what you want to learn. He listens and finds the perfect lessons based on where you’re going in Latin America. He’s patient and kind. I would suggest him over anyone else I found on Kijiji.

He also answers all questions enthusiastically, provides extra learning materials on any areas you might need help with, and provides opportunities to practice conversation in new and interactive ways.

Juan is an excellent teacher! He uses engaging materials and effective techniques that help all students master the content, regardless of the classes being held online due to COVID. His expertise at teaching another language was very apparent in my two ten-week sessions. Juan is encouraging, patient, and uses humour in his classes. As an English and French teacher, I highly respect his teaching skills . I loved learning Spanish with him and my classmates.

I would definitely recommend Juan for anyone who would like to learn Spanish. His rate is fair and he will meet you at your home!!  He prepares lessons based on your current understanding of the language and comes to each session equipped with worksheets to go through as well as homework for each lesson.  He is very very patient and supportive. I was brand new to Spanish and had hopes of gaining some skills before my vacation to Costa Rica. Fortunately, our lessons paid off! I was able to understand enough to make my way through a grocery store, ask simple questions and have small conversations with locals along the way.  A big thank you to Juan for that!  I will continue my lessons with Juan as I am optimistic that I can become fluent in the coming years

Juan has been instrumental in me learning Spanish. I have been taking lesson with him for approximately 2 years and I have, thanks to Juan, surpassed my expectations for being able to learn Spanish. He has provided a fun, safe and friendly learning experience. After each lesson my motivation for learning Spanish increases. Learning languages is not something that comes easy to me but with Juan’s guidance I am reaching my goals!

Juan was a great guy who came to my house every week and always stayed a lot longer to help me out. He tailored the lessons to my needs and was always encouraging and interesting. I would recommend him for any level, and his price is very reasonable.
