Pine Ridge Hunting Preserve

I had the pleasure of meeting the owners of Pine Ridge Hunting Preserve when my husband, son and I took our puppy there this fall to do some pheasant hunting and training with our 7 month old pup. We had an outstanding experience. The owners were amazing people. Couldn't do enough for you and wanted to make sure our experience was fantastic. They are very warm and caring people. It is very evident that they put their heart and soul into the business and their dogs. We had an amazing hunt. Some of the pheasants hid well in which made it a bit more challenging for our learning" puppy to flush out (which we fully expected)

Great day in the field . Mike and his wife were very helpful and ensured we had a great hunt. Brian and his dog Cooper were the best guides we could have asked for . Highly recommend a visit.

We enjoyed our hunt. The service and facilities were excellent. However, it is really expensive. For two hunters it cost $340. This included 9 birds and one hunting dog. If the price had been more reasonable, or more birds had been included, I would have given a rating of 5 stars. Unfortunately the high cost means I won't be returning to hunt here.

Animals, including birds, are NOT ours to abuse, or to hunt. They have feelings, feel fear and pain.......... Please let them live in peace. How can you teach kindness to your children and then go out to kill❓

My husband and I just put a deposit down for one of Mike's pudelpointers puppies. He's a very honest guy and the whole experience didn't feel like a sales pitch which made us feel comfortable. We met all his dogs and they all have a great temperament even his kennel dogs! This guy truly knows his stuff when it comes to dogs and he's a breeder that will stand by his puppies even after selling them to the owners.

Gotta love google reviews!This new world you can post anything without merit or reason, today I post for the love of the hunt and the people that see it more than how many birds we shot (missed) today.I went to Pineridge as a rookie (me 40) with my father (62) and my son (9) my experience was something we will all remember for a life time.I met Mike the owner and explained we know nothing about the sport and or the working of fields or stations as they call it.Mike and his wife (mother as there is no other way to describe this lady) Set us up with a fellow named John and his Dog (unfortunately I can not for the life of me remember his name) 10 birds and some great tips (etiquette) and we were off. The pointer provided all of the 10 birds and then some however we brought home less than 5 birds and a truck load of memories.This is a family run business....... great people , honest people. I recommend this place to anyone like minded.

My dog Pilot and I had a great time. It was his first time being out, and he scared most of the birds away, but hunting is a game of patience, especially when training a puppy. I can't wait to go back, and he gets even more skill, and we take home more games. Thanks for the tips and time, Mike.

Great place for a bird hunt. Natural fields with quality birds. Hire a dog guide if it's your first time.

I’m 56 years old and I’ve hunted since I was 15 for waterfowl , upland , rabbits and big game all over Ontario, Canada . Owning Labrador retrievers since I was 20 meant I wanted the most versatile dog , companion I could afford . Waterfowling was awesome but something was missing and that’s where pheasant hunting filled the void my dog and I were looking for . Thanks to Pineridge Pheasant Preserve and the amazing Pollata family , Mike , Rose (mom ), Andy and Sue I will have many fond memories of the hunts and adventures I had with my dogs over the last quite a few years . Mike and his family are the most honest , hospitable folks you’ll ever come across with ole family values and very willing to help you out if your new or old or if you have no dog can provide that as well . Mike has some of the very best poodle pointers across Ontario and offers incredible pheasant and chukar of your choice . I highly recommend Pineridge Pheasant Preserve .
