All Heart Pet Rescue

A few years back, we adopted a dog from All Heart Pet Rescue. Let me tell you, this rescue is “all heart”. When you get a dog from them, you know exactly what you are getting......whether the fur baby is good with kids, other dogs big or small and even cats.They do their best to pair the right family with the right dog. I highly recommend them to you.

I have adopted 2 cats from All Heart and visited many times. Every time I saw Kathy she would always ask how they were doing. The love and devotion from Kathy and the team of volunteers show in every animals that crosses their door. This area of northern Ontario is truly blessed to have such a wonderful team of people that only have the best interest of these animals. Thank you All Heart for all your hard work and especially the love you show for all critters.

Kathy has years of experience in placing pets with the appropriate people/settings. We have adopted a total of 3 dogs from all heart over the last few years and they couldn't have been a better match. We are in the country and the dogs are thriving! Thankyou Kathy and Maddie for all you do. We love our fur babies to the moon and back!!

HIGHLY recommend All Heart Pet Rescue in Powassan. I’ve been emailing with Melissa who is super helpful, her mom Kathy is incredible. I originally reached out by email with my application and when I went in to meet Kathy and look at Stella (the dog I was thinking about) I was there for 3.5 hours talking to Kathy, meeting the dogs, etc. Kathy is very straight up, she’ll try making a connection with you, getting to know you, and then giving her honest opinion about you and a dog. She will tell you if she thinks it won’t work out with one, but maybe another, or if right now is not the time for you to get a dog. She takes super good care of all animals in her care and instantly feels like family. There are many dogs not listed on the website in her care.

I started volunteering at All Heart when we adopted our first shepherd from their care. I volunteered for multiple years before life got in the way.Care, time, & consideration goes into the animals and the potential homes. Great efforts are put into finding the right fit for the animal, whileproviding education/expectations to the human(s). No animal is placed with someone based on their looks.We have recently adopted our second shepherd from All Heart Pet Rescue. We are sure we will be just as happy with this one as the last.

We have adopted 3 pets from All Heart. We have 2 cats and most recently adopted our dog Kona. When we arrived, Kathy asked us some questions and brought out a husky mix that she thought would be the perfect fit for our family. She was 100% right. Kona fit in right away and we are so thankful that we were matched with him.If you're looking to rescue a cat or dog, I highly recommend All Heart. You can tell they all truly love what they do and take such good care of the animals until they find their forever homes. Although we are at our pet limit right now, we will always recommend All Heart to anyone we know that is looking for an addition to their family.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. They were extremely supportive in my adoption of my sweet pup Kayla. They took the time to make sure I was comfortable and that Kayla was comfortable. I fostered for 2 weeks before adopting and they checked in on me to make sure me and the dog were okay. They were very responsive to any questions I had and I never felt like I was on my own throughout this process. They are very helpful and they sure do love their animals and make sure that they are going to good homes. Forever will be thankful for All Heart Pet Rescue ❤️

We have now adopted our 3rd dog from allheart our oldest who is now 17 and still with us we adopted13 years ago. The other 2 are brother and sister we just adapted and we couldnt be happier with our 3 amazing dogs.Kathy is amazing to work with and cares and understands all the animals needs in her care. All the volunteers we have meet on our visits are so helpful and caring aswell.
