Dr a K Gupta

I was refereed to his doctor, from University hospital because I have a very bad rash on my hand since 5 months. As an international student in Canada, we don't have OHIP card, but we do have insurance from other company. As I did not have OHIP card, I was not treated by the doctor and the receptionist sent me back which is against the doctor's oath, as they won't treat me because of it.The staff did not check my referral form, it clearly mentions that I don't have OHIP. The staff was incompetent and rude.

Went to Dr Gupta for the first time today. When I first called I was pleasantly surprised there was not a year wait list. I was informed on the phone the wait may be an hour as they could never predict if Dr Gupta was going to have to do a biopsy right in the office, should someone be in need. I met with Christine prior to the doctor. She was so upbeat and funny. The front desk people were delightful. The Dr was quick and gave me a solution that made sense.

I started seeing Dr. Gupta 2 years ago. He diagnosed right away a basil cell CA on my face. He promptly referred me to a surgeon, who removed the lesion. He has been following me up with visits for other precancerous cells. He is very attentive and I trust and respect his diagnostic skills.

After reading the reviews I was skeptical. I had exerienced lack lustre care from a previous referral to an Allergist after waiting months for the appointment. When this appointment was confirmed, the Receptionist advised of the wait time and why it was necessary. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the service provided and the professionalism of Dr. a K Gupta and his staff. My issue was diagnosed after 2 appointments and is now under control (at the time of my first appointment there was no active outbreak and for my 2nd appointment it was just a walk-in; no appointment necessary). The diagnosis was explained to me, I was prescribed medication and instructions on how to avoid outbreaks. Thank you very much!

Shorter wait times are wonderful. 45 mins this week compared to 3 hrs last year. Dr. Gupta was pleasant and apologetic for wait time. He seems to be less stressed and tired due to less patients. Staff was pleasant and professional. I hope these positive changes continue. Pleased with his treatment decisions .

This is the worst doctor I've ever been to in 40 + years . To start the receptionists are rude and snooty. They could care less if you are there or not . And then the nurse that comes in before the doctor is terrible . Very rude and unprofessional. She says I want to get these questions done as quick as , rushes the questions , doesn't listen and snips back at you when you ask something. And then the doctor comes in and is extremely unprofessional looking , doesn't acknowledge you or say hi I'm dr gupta. He just says let's see the spot looks at it quickly and and then tells you to use the cream and not to come back and waste his precious time. It was the worst experience I've ever had

The dr was not very friendly at all and hardly listened to what I had to say. When I would explain something to them he would interrupt me midway and disregard what I was saying. The staff team however was very friendly and super helpful apart from the doctor who really didn't provide me with any help in the grand scheme of things.

My doctor referred me to Dr.Gupta for some reason. The wait wasn't long but they rescheduled me 3 different times. I finally got in this week and waited 1 hour and 15 min before I saw him. He was in so unpleasant, constantly sighing while reading my papers. Looks at me and says we can't do anything for you, since we are trying to get pregnant. He was rude about it and even if he can't put me on anything because of that fact he wouldn't even tell me what was wrong until I asked. Just can't help you. Right then I started to walk out. He was only nicer" to me after me telling him that he seems to be inconvenienced that I'm here. And he also was yelling in the hall for his assistant

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they called me after my referral (next day) and they were able to get me an appointment for the following week.I was almost ten minutes late as I live across the city and ran into an unexpected detour and rather than being informed my appointment had been 'missed' and I would be billed for the appointment as I have experienced in the past, I was greeted with a friendly 'no problem' and directed to fill out the paperwork.When my appointment was booked, the receptionist warned me to anticipate being there for about 2 hours given the nature of the specialty and start to finish, had I been on time, it was 90 minutes (80 if you start from when I actually showed up).Dr. Gupta was very knowledgeable and his diagnosis and treatment plan took all of 5 minutes and he was very professional. Not overly friendly, but not at all unfriendly. His assistant/nurse (? - I am not clear on her role) was very friendly and polite.
