Ken Mason Insulation

We hired Ken Mason for a spray foam insulation job. They showed up the day of ( April 18th) and provided us with exactly what we wanted. The tech, Gavin was diligent. He approached our job like it was his own home. Gavin answered all our questions. Upon completion he cleaned up and said Good Bye. We were very pleased with our service. Unfortunately I cannot give these guys negative stars.CAUTION…. Do not trust these guys. They are ignorant and arrogant.Very rude and do not care about other trades or customer needs.As you can see from the photos, they came in, setup in my work area which is unsafe for them to work in. The team leader refused to move their trailer and started pretend playing the violin when I was speaking. These guys have no ethics or regard for others.

Dealing with Bob Elliot and his installers has been a pleasant experience. The installers were prompt, courteous, efficient and tidy.When one of the old windows was removed it revealed a space empty of insulation. We had some on hand to stuff in there, but rather than have us do it, the installer took over the task. That was a very nice gesture.The windows are beautiful! Already the house is warmer to the extent that we have lowered the thermostat even in this colder weather. And the noise from outside traffic is silenced.We are pleased enough that we want to do another window now. And we will do it through Bob Elliot of Ken Mason.

Horrible experience dealing with this company. I had hired them to replace A couple of windows, patio door and screen door. The day they came to do the installation they replaced all the items except for the screen door, stating that it hadn’t come in yet and that they would be back. I had to chase after them to get them to come back to install the screen door. The owner was arrogant and rude about the situation. The workmanship was Shoddy to say the least. When the trim was put back on around the windows it did not line up, had marks on it and the nail holes were not filled. When removing the one window they pulled a huge chunk of paint and drywall paper right off the wall exposing the drywall. I specifically asked them to remove and leave the alarm on my patio door, which they did not do and when I spoke to the owner about it he told me too bad it’s already gone. They refused to admit to any wrongdoing or resolution of the issues. Horrible experience in dealing with this company and definitely would not recommend them.

Not sure about the other reviews. Found them on google search. Quote was fair. Quality of workmanship was excellent. Its a very busy time for trades, they were fast to respond when i called. Showed up when they said they would. Did what they said they would. Robert knows what he is doing. Explained where spray foam was required and where batt insulation was sufficient. Five stars

Terrible experience!Bob Elliot came out to measure and quote our job. We measured together and he gave me a price. His crew came the next day. They set up and were just about ready to insulate when I was informed that Bob now all of the sudden wants an extra $400 for this job. I called him right away as there was absolutely no change in the scope of the work being performed. He was rude, argumentative, and very unprofessional. He basically told me to either pay up or they'll walk away. There was absolutely no rhyme or reason and he also couldn't explain why he wants more money. In fact, I decided to fact check him and asked him what the price per square foot is. Once he told me, I remeasured along with his crew present and it came back to the price we had agreed. Even his crew were baffled. It was basically extortion at this point - either pay him extra for no reason, or let the crew leave. At this point it became more about the principal. I told them to leave, which also severely delayed my project (inspection, drywall, tape + mud, etc). Bob is a arrogant liar and has zero consideration for his customers".Stay away. There are plenty of better

Ken and his installation crew were absolutely spot on from the first time we spoke over the phone, to the finished product.Most definitely a 6+ star rating for sure!!!I highly recommend his company for all insulation install.Thank you very much, what a great difference you have made.Gary Bristol

Warning: Do not use this untrained raggedy company called Ken Mason. Bob Elliott will sell you on windows of the poorest quality. Cold air literally comes through the windows, along with moisture leaving frost on the inside of your windows. I replaced 17 windows, a sliding door and used them for spray foam insulation, costing tens of thousands of dollars with Ken Mason. One of the windows is cracked and he will not come out to replace it. For insulation they do not clean up after spraying foam, the drywall installer had to clean the beams that were over sprayed to make an even surface. Bob will insist that you start paying him as work is being completed, do not pay this man unless you are fully satisfied. I made the mistake of paying him right away. When there was an issue with one of the windows he left me with plywood over the gapping hole for a month from October to November (we lost so much heat during that time and it was really cold). Upon issues with Bob’s measurements on windows he was quick to suggest that I find another company, considering that my payments were up to date and that I didn’t owe him anything. He was literally going to walk away as winter was coming! Bob is a one man shop with agency workers that learn on your house, they know enough to be dangerous (providing you with a false sense of security). Bob is almost 80 years old and will not be around to fulfill his warranty, if when he is around he won’t come for window failure. Runaway from this sorry excuse of a company, before they runaway from you with there tailgate warranty. Once they drive away and there tail lights are no longer in view - warranty expires.

i just had them in to spray my attic insulation. the work from his crew was satisfactory the attic is filled and no one fell through the ceiling.Robert Elliot on the other hand. A little rough around the edges, lots of personality and old school business operation.He forgot to schedule my project. But he will not forget to call you to pay the remainder of an invoice 2 business days after the job is complete. he should have checked to see if a payment was received firstPricing per sq ft pricing seemed to change day of, and would not provide a pricing break down or electronic invoice as i requested. that's all you get
