Love going to Chinatown for dimsum. So when in Montreal, one must pay a visit! You can find this restaurant on the second floor, ver spacious and still serve their dim sum dishes on carts that they push around. So cute! Sadly I found the food to be mid - and on the saltier side! But service was good, they were able to accommodate our allergies and that’s very important to me. So I would go back!

No service when I walked in. I had to walk to the front desk to order something simple. The food isn’t that great. When I paid they cashier lady literally told me what to tip!!We ordered too much and they gave us these cardboard boxes that ended up leaking everywhere. We had a soup and they didn’t even pack it for us even though we paid for it.I am not sure how this place keeps in business. I am sure there’s other places in Chinatown that is more deserving of your hard earnt dollars.

Perfect dim sum place. We’ve been going for years. Good variety of very tasty dumplings. It compares well to dim sums of Toronto Chinatown/Markham where we lived 10 years. Service is basic as you would expect in these restaurants, I guess it’s part of the experience and culture. Yes, it’s hit and miss being served in French and the cart servers have difficulties even in English, but this is Chinatown!

Visiting Montreal on a weekend trip and wanted some Asian food. Great place to have dimsum in Montreal’s Chinatown. Staff was super friendly and accommodating of our family’s food allergies. Would highly recommend this place!

We did the dim sum and had a great visit. Excellent, fresh food with a big spread of variety they walk around on carts. Wish I could have brought a bigger appetite, but we're doing a big sit down meal later this evening. Service was very attentive and friendly. Looking forward to another visit when we return to Montreal.

Very big restaurant with huge amount of seats. Dim sum is pretty decent but the options are few when going arouund noon. Going earlier usually has a lot more options to pick from. Service was alright and the price is affordable, only around 3$ one plate

If you speak only french/English, it is quite hard to be served for dim sum, server will just past you by and won't show you what's on the tray it is unfortunate because the food is very good. There is a lot of the menu and everything is very good, good portions and good price. We often order from Ruby rouge on Uber eat and everything is always fresh and good.

We were so happy to find Ruby Rouge and great dim sum in Montreal! It’s on the 2nd floor up a main flight of stairs. We completely over-ate stuffing ourselves with all the expected goodies: har gow, chicken feet, sticky rice with lotus leaf, tofu skin, shu mai, shrimp/beef rice roll, fried pork dumpling, bbq pork bun, tripe, baby squid, beef short ribs, fried pork dumplings, hot sour soup, calamari, fried noodles (4 different kinds), mixed vegetables. The waiters were terrific and ensured we had lots of tea and ice water.Dim sum operates differently here than NYC. In NYC, it’s a blood sport to get a table on a weekend – they open around 9am and if you don’t arrive by 10-10:30am, you’re going to be waiting an hour. So we arrived at 10:07am discovering that Ruby Rouge doesn’t even open until 10:30am with the carts starting at 10:45am. They were very gracious and allowed us to enter and sit at a table. Same carts being pushed around with tasty treats and a main table with a few more offerings. Excellent and comparable dishes to our favorite NYC dim sum. The sesame balls had different inside filling than we are used to. We did not find taro cake or the skinny crispy shrimp egg rolls – can’t win them all. We also noticed a cart with what looked like churros – we didn’t try them – maybe next time. We will definitely be back!

Food quality was very good, but the frequency of dim sum carts was low. It felt a bit odd how every single table had white seat covers -- almost as if it was set up for a wedding -- yet my family got sat at the only table without seat covers. In any case, it was a positive experience, and I would recommend it for a good weekend brunch.

Service was terrible right from the start. We only spoke to the waitress when she sat us down - and by sat us down, that’s all she did. While we got menus and were expecting to order from them, our server was no where to be found so we just got a few random dishes from the carts that went by. We had to ask the women with the carts for help. I don’t think one of them spoke English because we repeatedly had to ask for help. The chair covers and the floor under the table were filthy with food debris. The teapot was also dirty.I honestly could’ve looked past all of it and wasn’t even prompted to leave a review until at the end of our meal they literally held us up at the door after we had just finished paying to have the audacity to ask for a tip. I didn’t want a hassle so I just pulled out a bill. I’ve never been chased down for a tip before. There’s other, better, dim sum places in the area. Do not go here.
