First Steps Childcare Services

This daycare is trash they do not let you bring toys my son said that they are racist and dona is very rude but she acts nice in front of parents but she’s very rude In front of the kids they make your kids miserable and they have a very bad daycare but the manager is nice and lindsy and Kahleen and cassie it’s just Dona is very rude and she talks about parents behind their back……..

It’s a nice place but could have better rules. My sons said they didn’t understand why the teachers had the dumbest rules

I did 3 days orientation with my daughter in the toddler room. The administrator Sandy was rude and wouldn't make time to speak with me. On several occasions i asked to meet and i was told i don't need to meet with you". I wasnt clear on what the expectations were of our orientation and even though i tried to seek clarification they wouldn't meet with me. I was told by the other administrator Lori that I could stay as long as I wanted so on the 3rd day we stayed for lunch and attempted nap time. Sandy yelled at me from the door that naps happen the second week. She embarrassed me in front of everyone . The 2nd day i witnessed the teacher Amina grabbing the kids by the arms and plunking them on and off the toilet aggressively. She also said to the other teacher it was ok to skip part of the curriculum they post for the ministry. When i called the day care to voice my concerns i barely got an apology and i was blamed for everything. They wouldn't give me a portion of my $250 deposit."

I dont think that lunch should be at 10.30am and last snack at 2.30pm. As well if I call during the day to check how kids are doing , they dont have time to answer. I had twins there and reprts were identical for both of them, I dont think they eat and slept equally... manager is nice but staff is rude...

I used to go there and honestly its great, the staff make it fun during the summer for children of a lower age but for older age they maybe need to do some work on that. during school days thought there great and make sure the children go outside for a good amount of time and make sure the children have a great selection of activities during the evening. I would highly recommend!!!!!!

They were amazing with both my kids! Lovely staff that really care about the kids. I felt good knowing they were in good,caring hands. My kids now only go in the summer and they make it fun for them at an older age!! Would recommend!!
