Virden Central Hotel

The service desk night manager was very helpful. Checked me in right away . The bar tender was unwilling to sell offsale to me. Her hand was in the till. No facial contact after the first initial contact. No hello. The time was 12:00. SMH. Seriously rude young female. I'm in the hotel for engine failure. I was working on my vehicle before heading to the bar for offsale.

⚠️ DO NOT SLEEP HERE ⚠️⚠️ I have found dead bugS (8 bugs exactly) stuck in the light fixtures above the shower light in the bathroom.⚠️ ALL BOX SPRINGS AND SHEETS ARE STAINED. I don't know what kind of stains but I'll prefer not to know.⚠️ The walls and multiple surfaces are stained and sticky (looks like beer or something)I went there with my girlfriend for a last minute overnight stay and quickly ask for a refund for how NASTY the room was. If you have a minimum sens of hygiene DO NOT SLEEP HERE.According to the reservations staff: the cleaning staff could not clean the room due to lack of time"... In my opinion that room as not been cleaned FOR WEEKS!The reservation staff asked me if I would like to see or change rooms

Bar and Restaurant Review.Love this little place. Was in the area for work for a few weeks. The staff are very friendly, and funny. was nice to sit around and have a beer by the counter and listen to the happy banter. Was the highlight of my work day , to go over and relax with a beer. met some very friendly local people in there too. Good karma in this joint. Nice specials at good prices., Food is alright, and the burgers are quite tasty. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of spicy dishes on the menu too. just to change it up from the salt, pepper and butter combo... throw some chili in there guys...haha. Thanks for the wonderful and friendly experience. I'll be back whenever I return to this little town. (Neil, Alberta)

The pub/restaurant has to be the worst service in the entire town.Fist time we came here, the food took 45 mins. The second time the server just too busy for us. We had to grab our own menu and wait 15 mins just to get our first drink. The third time, she kept saying I will be there in a minute. We ended up walking out. There were 2 other people in the whole place.

This is a tough place to rate, because the staff is super friendly and helpful and the food is affordable. They have a fantastic cheeseburger, too! The reason I'm giving three stars is mainly based on the hotel experience. The room was extremely aged and drab, the sofa was torn, the surround in the shower was coming off the wall, the carpet was ancient, and the bed was old and uncomfortable. For the price, it's about what a person could reasonably expect, but I think doing some renovating and increasing the prices a bit would serve this place well.

Loud and noisy. Can hear everything. Train went by 3 times in the night... heard every break in the track.On the plus side, the staff are awesome! They moved me to the other side of the hall. They even offered to move me to a different motel if moving across the hall wasn't enough. Excellent customer service.

We stayed here for a couple nights and it was a very quaint motel with friendly staff and delicious food! This motel is accomodating and the beds were very comfortable! The rooms were well worth the price! They also have great entertainment systems inside the motel and a nice bar! Highly recommended if you are passing by the area!

Eating breakfast in the bar..not my 1st choice of location. Quick friendly service though.

I’ve been all over Manitoba and I definately have to say this is one of the best places I’ve stayed at. You notice that the reviews consistently say good food, good people and that is certainly true. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I travel a lot for my work and roam from town to town between Alberta and Manitoba, if you have an excuse to stop here please do, the food is great and the servers are phenomenal. As a side note the locals are incredibly friendly and really make the stay worth while.Update - I am back in Virden, and wouldn’t you know, I’m staying at the Virden Central Hotel. I wanted to update this review because I believethat a good establishment can provide consistent good service. I can assure you they do. The waitress even know my beer of choice from 2 weeks ago. In all honesty in my travels I might make an effort to drive by Brandon to stop here... and I suggest you do as well.
