First time at Lingnan! Just amazing, food and service. Amy herself came to chat and welcome us. When she heard I had celiac disease she made sure I knew to order instead of going for the buffet. She was as warm and cheerful as I remember from 20 years ago at Chicken For Lunch! The wait staff were all attentive, friendly and quick. The food was all amazing and our teens loved the buffet! We were so busy enjoying we forgot to take food photos, so just have one of the Lego Lingnan near the door. Next time!

Finally got around to trying this place tonight. Was very excited and it definitely lived up to the hype! We ordered:- Dry Spicy Chicken- Szechuan Beef (Ginger Beef)- Goo Lo Sweet and Sour Pork- Chicken Fried Rice- Chicken Chow Mein- Side of sweet and sour sauceThis was to feed 4 people and total cost was about $105 with tax. We picked it up. There was no food leftover and everyone was absolutely stuffed to the brim. Overall the food quality was excellent. The chow mein and rice were not greasy and the quality of meat used was excellent. The dry spicy chicken is fantastic and a favourite of everyone at the table. I think the price is reasonable but you could probably get larger portions from other chinese restaurants (especially the rice) but I don't think the quality would be there. We will be back in the future and would like to try their buffet one day. Oh, the only complaint - where are the fortune cookies?! Still, 5 stars, thank you so much!

I had my birthday dinner here based on a recommendation from a friend. Let me tell you, it was a great recommendation. Prior to even attending dinner, I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner on the phone over confirming party number and she was absolutely pleasant. She allowed for me to bring in my own birthday cake which was incredibly generous and an exception to my situation which I was very grateful for. As soon as we showed up for dinner we were greeted by the staff with open arms and brought to our table right away. We had a lovely private table in the back of the restaurant (beautiful decor) and order drinks taken right away. We opted for the buffet dinner and it did not disappoint. The egg rolls and wonton soup were to die for! We were also greeted by the owner personally and she was very attentive to our needs (never a drink cup empty). They played happy birthday on the over-head speaker which brought a lot of laughs and smiles to me and my family. They took the time to place and light my birthday candles, and bring out my cake to me, as well as cut the cake for each of us. They went above and beyond for us and it kicked off my 29th birthday with a smile! We definitely have a new favourite spot for locally made Chinese food. Thank you so much for your hospitality and helping in creating a new core memory for me!

Each food dish has its own unique flavour, plenty of food, original decor that brings me back to when my parents brought me many years ago and the staff are always looking for ways to make your stay perfect. We have been going to the Lingnan restaurant for over 50 years. Excellent restaurant.

Old school Chinese food in the capital city. Classic menu dishes with fun cocktail list. Enjoyed the Lemon Chicken, Shanghai Noodles and House Special Fried Rice all with friendly and attentive service. Definitely recommend for a fun family meal

A true hidden gem! You have to go to witness the real beauty of this place, at no point did I taste anything frozen and the buffet (5pm Fri-Sun) is only $30! Their drinks are also great and the enviroment is always friendly and eager to take those dirty dishes from the table haha.Would 1000% recommend!
