Ordered Stompers, within 2 weeks stitching was failing all over the place on both boots. Customer service was good and sent a replacement pair, upon inspection found poor quality stitching all over those boots as well, no way they're going to hold up in a real construction environment so they're returned as well for refund. It's too bad, leather material is heavy and the boots seem otherwise good but definitely not durable. Manufacturer date was 4 years before purchase, I'm not sure what to make of that aside from them being unable to sell these boots. Also, very uncool, they deleted my negative review from their website.

Wore these boots every fire season for 5 years. Best boots I've ever owned and I wouldn't wear anything else. I just send them in for a resole and new eyelets. Customer service is unmatched and the workmanship is of highest quality. Thank you viberg for having my back.

They have turned into a garbage boutique shop. I've been buying their boots for 30 years. Now boots that would last 7 years, last me 3 years or less. Their cheaper products are now made in China. I called them. They no longer do repairs. I live where they are made. They want me to send them far away.Don't bother. They have sold out.

I walk 15-20km a day and the 10” rigger steel toes are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. Even with the extra weight compared to my old 6” boots my vibergs feel so much better and clean up to looking new easily. If you can find a pair of their steel toes just get them. Your feet will thank you. Not to mention the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Thanks for making my work days better!

I bought a pair of Stompers from Viberg hoping their name would carry a better quality. Sadly i was wrong. The stitching has come out for a 2nd time in 8 months. I took them back the 1st time and got nothing but attitude from the clerk. Was told they would be repaired in 2 days, 3 weeks later and daily phone calls, i finally got my boots back. Now that the stitching has come out again, i’ll take them elsewhere to get fixed. I was hoping to get a couple of years out of these boots as i have a desk job but walk the shop floor regularly. I’ll be lucky if they last a year. The left boot squeaks with every step (my manager has the same issue with his Stompers) At least they were more expensive than Dakotas (which last longer) The Viberg name has gone downhill considerably and I wont be back because of the very poor customer service.

Very disappointed in the lack of warranty or customer service. I bought a pair of Viberg stompers for just under 400$ dollars I had to take them in 4 months later due to the sole falling apart. They replaced them free of charge which was nice. Now a year later and my boots are falling apart again. For the same price you can buy red wings and get 2 -3 years from a pair of boots. For the price I expected better quality. I will not make that mistake again.

A bit of a long and rambling story, but here it goes. I live somewhat close by in Victoria. I’ve dropped by now and then. Became a regular buyer of leather off cuts for small projects. You buy it by weight. They have large bins that you root through. On to the boots. I am now up to three pairs of Vibergs. Started with a nearly new pair of traditional hikers bought off Facebook marketplace. They were worn once and abandoned due to a fit issue on the left. They fit me wonderful. Several months later, they are now super comfortable. A bit of heel slip seems to have been addressed by adding a leather insole in the heel area that I made from one of the leather scraps. That recommendation came from the fitter at Viberg who helped me on a more recent purchase (new!) of their Bobcat boot. The same fitter helped me on addressing a tight fit over the instep on my Bobcats; stretching it at no charge over two sessions. They may have got to this same place over time but this was a less painful route for sure. I was pretty sure that these Bobcats would fit well since I had bought yet another pair of Vibergs on Facebook. In this case a pair of Hunter 45. Hardly worn but with some break-in already done, they magically fit my feet perfectly. I’m hoping that the Bobcats will be the same in a few months of wear. They share the same last and construction. Just the height is different. What I like about my Vibergs? They are local and Canadian. They are working hard in a tough business. Their boots are well built and I’ve had only great service from their staff. Not so secret hint … they have end of line and seconds for sale at their store on Boleskine Road. And not just from their workboot line. But also from their street wear side. They also carry other manufacturers boots in their store. Good selection for a city the size of Victoria. I am hopeful that they will be able to catch back up on their backlog; seems that many are upset by the current situation. I’m happy that they are still in the game. And finally, they sell the rawhide laces at a steal of a price. And with the 105”, it does both sides of my shorter boots (cut in half).

I have owned many pairs of the locally made Viberg CSA Safety work boots over the years but never again. For $560 I used it get more than 2 years use out of them and looked after them very well. This last pair the whole sole has now separated from the leather and the tacks securing it lifting up into my feet.I contacted Viberg and they don’t warranty nor do they have anyone doing repairs anymore.

I had a small issue with a pair of Vibergs and they went way above and beyond helping me. The frustration I felt was quickly gone after they contacted me directly and found a solution. They are now my favorite boot manufacturer period

Original review is below... After wearing my Smokejumpers for over a year I had quality issues, Viberg did do some very minor repairs but they did not fix the problem. The employees chose to argue and disagree instead of trying to help. They do not back their product....Excellent boots. Customer service and store experience are sub par.Very limited stock of boots and lack of information on boots makes finding the right pair difficult. Although it is worth the hassle.
