Canine Development and Testing

Just finished a 4 week class with Tamara(the owner) and was just fabulous. I loved every moment. There is such passion in what she does and she knows her stuff. It was so much fun - for me and my dog!

Tamara was incredibly helpful in our private training lessons. She showed me the proper techniques to use when training as well as games and tricks to overcome distractions/bad behaviours with my dog. I have seen so much improvement in such little time. Thank you CDT!

We started training with a 2-year old Chow Chow that had zero recall ability. She got away a couple of times and it was scary. We felt it would be impossible" to train her to come when called

As someone who has gone through many dog classes over the last few decades - I was truly impressed with my first session here at CDT! I took my 4 month old puppy to the beginners rally, something new for myself as well, and found Nikki to be amazing. She is calm, detailed and easy to follow. She never made us feel rushed, and treated us all with calmness and respect. It was a great class, and made me feel less intimidated, knowing Rally can be quite competitive. The facility is easy to get to, clean and organized.I am looking forward to future classes here.

Very grateful for the opportunity to work with Tamera! We have only done one course so far but she is clearly knowledgeable and passionate but also very professional and friendly. Really enjoyed discussing the topic of canine cognition with her. I look forward to spending more time at CDT in the future!

Highly recommend! I took the gun dog foundations class and learned a lot! The trainer was so nice and was very experienced.

I have done the beginner and second level puppy classes with Kate, and I love it all so far. She is so helpful and patient! My dog adores her, and she has been such a help!

I've been fortunate to have received one on one training from Tamara for my highly excitable 1 1/2 year old lab. Tamara's approach to training is not a one solution fits all. She has an understanding of the individual needs of the dog, taking into consideration the breed and what works with the owner. I really appreciated that. Her hands on approach and training sessions were easy to follow and apply. Tamara follows up a detailed report on what was covered in the training session and step by step instructions to keep the learning going! If you're looking for a knowledgeable, positive and balanced approach specific to your dog's needs, I highly recommend Tamara. She's the best!

The best community with like minded people who want to spend quality time with their dogs in a learning environment. I've met so many amazing people and their dogs while attending classes!Tamara's classes are full of great information and she takes time to help with each individual dog's needs. We took CDT's Pup N' SUP course recently and really enjoyed it. Tamara did a great job of showing how some simple training skills can be used to help you and your dog feel more comfortable out on the water together. She also covered some great basic safety principles for both dogs and people. I had never been on an SUP and by the last class both dogs and people were out there on the water enjoying an awesome paddle with our dogs! Thanks for getting us started CDT!
