Sylvan really helped increase our daughter's reading skill. Dorothy is very helpful and accommodating!

Services are way too expensive and not worth it for what you're getting.

Three of my children have used the services at Sylvan. One was able to bring up her math grade, and two have taken the Robotics and Coding classes.The staff was friendly and helpful. It was easy to enroll and the payment options were well explained. I also appreciate that I was not inundated with a lot of e-mails asking me to come back when my children had completed their programs.I would highly recommend the Sylvan Learning Center in South Edmonton.

My daughter got her confident doing math and reading and also I can see progress day by day.. many thanks for all the great staff… she excited to learn more and more…

What they can do for children is absolutely amazing! Schools are not always able to spend the length of time on concepts that some kids need, which is where Sylvan comes in :)Before Sylvan, my daughter whined everyday about learning her alphabet and the sounds of letters. In only 20 hours, she not only recognizes letters and can usually write them, she is WANTING to read and write them, and she likes trying out sounds to read words she sees. She knows how a book works with the title and author, can read simple words on sight, and wants me to read her half a dozen stories at bedtime (not just to stay up but to also try reading them to ME!)My son absolutely LOVED their robotics program because it combines Legos and computers - his favourite things! He can’t wait to do it again for the next level. While he is reading at grade level, the more he can understand at a deeper level, we know the better off he will be in the long run. I also look forward to him taking the study skills program, since those are skills that every child needs but unfortunately schools aren’t always able to teach (or at least not consistently) with all of the expectations they have in the classroom.With each teacher only having a few students at a time, it allows for the teachers to really focus on each child and his or her individual needs, while still giving time for the student to work on being independent as well.Anything worthwhile takes time and money to work, and Sylvan is definitely worth both! Highly recommend to anyone, of any age (they can do ages 4-99), for any academic skills!

You've given my girl some confidence back and now that she's having to do the school work online she's actually taking some pride in it. You've made a difference in a very short amount of time and I do look forward to when we can get back to face-to-face lessons and bring her even further in her learning!

We made a great decision by having both of our children enrolled at the south side Sylvan learning center. They are both reading above our expectations. The new director, Navya is wonderful. She is always available for questions and concerns, and takes great care to ensure we have excellent service. Our children also enjoy the center.
