Fix It Females

Beware and check the wording of your quote!!!!We hired Fixit Females to do some interior paint work. The owner came to quote on the work and explained to my wife and I that it would likely take 3 days including clean up. Day 1 a team of 2 would come and cover the furniture and tape, which was important to us, following that they would repaint some of the walls and in some spots do a bit of drywall repair and touchups. The fee for 3 days was expensive but we were busy and needed it done in a specific timeframe, so we agreed. We also determined that in order to be out of the way and avoid the fumes we would go stay at a hotel.We work in the film industry and hire incredible painters for usually about $400-$600 per day. Anastacia was quoting the job at about $6000 for the 3 days of work (appx. $2k per day for 2 people). On the day they were to start 1 painter came around 9:30AM looked at the job and then left for materials and returned around 10. . My wife and left after she started, then at 3:50 in the afternoon we received a call form the painter to say she had finished the entire house. We thought that was impossible, how could she have repainted so many walls, taped, sanded, etc by herself. Why did we book a 2 night stay at a hotel?I contacted Anastacia to say that this was completely unreasonable that she would be charging for 3 days for supposedly 2 people, when the job was completed by 1 person in under 8 hours. That equates to over $800 per hour for work that usually costs $50-$100 per hour. Her response was well we charge for the job and if they can figure out how to do it faster then its beneficial to them. My point back, was that if they were professional she wouldn't knowingly be grossly over quoting the job to that level. Of course in her contract, it doesn't say 2 people and in Ontario if you sign a construction contract you have little recourse. I told her i believed that what she was doing was intentionally misrepresenting the service and really nothing more than a low class con job.I work with skilled craftspeople everyday and this is truly a buyer beware moment for me. She reluctantly agreed, after she threatened using credit rating damage, to take off $500., so the bill was in excess of $700. per hour of work.Be extremely careful if you hire them because it is my opinion the owner is completely untrustworthy.

Fix it females was fantastic in many ways. The workers were always on time, professional and always kept the site/area they were working in clean and organized when the work day was complete. I always had questions and they would always answer to the best of their ability and if they were unable to answer I was always pointed in the direction of a person that could answer. I was unsure of what I exactly wanted done in my bathroom and kitchen for my upgrade/renovations, but Anastacia made it easy to figure all out. Marissa one of the employees was always on time, polite, and extremely professional. I also had another employee come in to work on this project, her name was CJ she was kind, always had a smile on her face and ready to work. I can truly say I enjoyed the service I received from fix it females, and will have them back for further renovations.

For bathroom renovation- including tile work ( excluding electrical & plumbing down) Above & Beyond the good quality of work, the team was prompt, tidy, courteous and hardworking. The overall organization was excellent. We were advised every evening of the status of the work completed and the subsequent day’s work of who would be arriving & what they would be doing. I would definitely use them again.

From the beginning, we knew Fix It Females was set to provide a superior renovation experience.The detailed, line-item quote was very professional and laid out the cost for each piece of our renovation. The team was very communicative and clean. And the quality of work was absolutely superior.Even though we had issues with supply chain constraints, the ladies went out of their way to make sure we would be happy with our finishes and end result. We did have a few issues with the cabinet and appliance vendors, but the FIF team held them accountable.FIF are indeed renovation goddesses and will be the only company we call for our future renovation needs.

My wife and I had a great experience with Fix it Females, Anastasia, and the whole crew!We hired them to reno the main floor of our house which included new cielings, removal of exisiting walls, flooring repair, new gas fireplace mantle , front door, electrical, ductwork, and more.The work is great and we found that the quote and timeline was pretty accurate.Anastasia and the crew were easy to work with, friendly, and we never felt uncomfortable with them being in our house.Before this reno my wife and I have a nightmare experience with another contractor so it was really great to have the opposite experience this time.Would hire again!

I had been searching for a contractor for quite some time to undergo a kitchen, bathroom and main floor project in my home. I called in a few contractors to get quotes to compare and did some research before hiring anyone. Fix It Female's was the last contractor I had in for a quote. Anastasia came in to view my property and with thorough explanation, she prepared me for what steps they would be taking and how the renovation would progress. With this and a fair quote, we gave them the job. From start to finish everything was extremely professional! They made sure any necessary permits were taken care of, that we had all of our items prior to the reno, they even helped design our spaces and offered tips on how to prepare for the reno. The quality of the work was excellent, the team was fantastic and I really enjoyed the end of day reports they would send every night. I was especially impressed with the tile work and cabinetry. I hired fixitfemales to renovate my kitchen and bathroom. The renovation happened during the Covid pandemic and I moved out during the work.-The job took nearly 4 months to complete (double the quoted time)-there were many days when no work was done on my project.-I handled all of the tarping and taping to protect my belongings, but when the tape failed there was no attempt by fixitfemales to re-tape the drop cloths.- My home was left very messy/dirty. They didn't clean any of it up. Moving back in took multiple days of cleaning work to remove drywall dust, etc.- There were errors in measurements and installation of components of the reno and I am now seeing sloppy work on the grouting and sealing.I would never recommend this contractor to anyone and suggest anyone who chooses to use them to inspect the work very closely before signing off on completion.

I had the pleasure of having Fixit Females come in to do some work on my fireplace. Anastasia was very patient in walking me through all my different options and was available for me to text her/call her if I had questions. When the work started we had CJ coming by to install my tiles and mantel, she was SO tidy, and friendly, she made my fireplace a piece of art. The work was done within the timeframe I had been given, and the cost was what I had been expecting. I would hire this company again and I recommend them highly.
