L.L.Bean

I returned a couple of items today that were bigger sizes that were Christmas gifts that were purchased online. The store didn’t carry any plus sizes, so I purchased a gift card after we returned the items so that my family member could find and purchase the larger sizes online. The store manager failed to inform us that the gift cards don’t work online, so I ended just purchasing the item with my credit card online as my family member couldn’t use their gift card to complete the purchase. I then called customer service and explained the scenario and they said to return to the store so they would refund me the amount on the gift card. I then went out of my way to get the gift card and go back to the store later in the afternoon and the manager wouldn’t process the refund for the gift card. A rarely leave negative reviews, but now that I’m left with a large amount of money on a gift card I don’t need, I can’t say anything more than very unfortunate and lots of time wasted.

Empty store even on a busy Saturday. Staff were nonexistent. Prices are astronomical, deals were poor. I predict this store will be closed in a few years.

It's LLBean. For many years I have camped in the summers in Maine at a beach town. York Beach. So for many years I have shopped at LLBean. Having one in Waterloo hits my happy spot and I can visit any time of the year.

I used to love LL Bean and bought clothes from their website previously. However, this store was a huge disappointment. There was no extended sizes whatsoever and while I do think LL Bean carries quality clothing, the prices are getting somewhat ridiculous.

Beautiful quality clothing .... mostly casual, lots of men's and ladies active wear including bathing suits and winter jackets etc.

We walked in. We saw a vast store with mediocre clothes made in Sri Lanka, India, etc. for pennies. Only some boots still made in USA. Normal looking cargo pants...$145 plus taxes.A very regular flannel shirt for $99 plus taxes. The very nice employee told us that the black friday sale was 15% off. Taxes off...yay. He looked embarrassed to work there simply based on prices on very basic clothes that probably cost 2 to 3 dollars to make.LL Bean very few people can afford your basic clothing.I had the same flannel top 30 years ago and it was about $15 dollars on sale.Sadly in today's financial climate, LL Bean will be done very soon.Do better.

Store is bright, warm and clean.Staff were super helpful, very knowledgeable about all the products I inquired about and the quality of items is fantastic (but I've come to expect that from this brand).Only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the prices... They're very high, this is budget and save up for" territory."

Great experience visiting the store. I was having a hard time deciding if Anorak was a good option for my hikes or not and Joseph from the store went out of his way to explain and demonstrate all the options in great details.Had such a great shopping experience after ages. Really appreciate his efforts :))

Prices are on the high side but the quality and guarantee on their clothing is worth it. Especially for the sun smart items

It is a beautiful store but they had almost no medium or large sizes in any of their clothing. Everything was size small or XXL. It seems like it is a clearance store for all there unsold sizing. I made this comment to my wife and was over heard by a couple walking by. They said they had driven an hour to visit the store and went home empty handed as well. Disappointing, as there were a number of items I would have purchased had they carried my size (large).
