My partner and I hired Dave for a home inspection on Salt Spring Island. He was professional and responsive, it was easy to book him and he did a very thorough job. Gold Star Home Inspections
Contracted Gold Star to complete an inspection on a property we were considering buying. Dave was very responsive, accommodating and able to complete the inspection outside his normal working hours to meet our requirements. He was very thorough with his inspection and extremely knowledgeable. He provided very valuable insight into both the short term and long term potential issues/ concerns and offered possible solutions. All done in a vary professional manner. We engaged Dave at the last minute for a home inspection. He responded very quickly and was able to be available for us in the time frame we needed. He was thorough and the report he provided was very detailed. He took the time to clearly explain anything we didn't understand, and has been available for follow up questions post-inspection as well. Dave Maedel provided an excellent and thorough inspection report on short notice. He made sure I was aware of any shortcomings in the place I was purchasing, which was really appreciated and could be weighed into my decision to purchase the house.He provided a verbal report right after the inspection followed by the detailed digital report that evening.He also followed up on some mechanical information for me on the heating system in the new place.I would definitely recommend Dave to anyone needing a house inspection.

I recently contacted Dave Maedel at Gold Star to inspect a home we were considering buying. Dave not only responded quickly to my request, he also went over and above to complete the inspection on EXTREMELY short notice and time constraints. We were purchasing a condo and needed a home inspector who could inspect on a short notice. Dave responded to my inquiry very quickly and worked with our realtor to set up the inspection time. Dave's inspection was very thorough and he provided a full digital report to us. The whole process was seamless.
