Brenton was amazing during our home inspection. We bought a show home and Brenton found many issues with the doors, ceiling and even fixed the A/C on their behalf. The home inspection worth every dollar I paid for it. I highly recommend.Brenton also gave a few advice regarding house maintenance which was great.

I deeply regret using Amerispec when we bought our new home. They managed to completely miss major plumbing and water damage issues. (The drain pipe on our downstairs bathroom was leaking through the walls of the adjacent rooms). It costed us $5000 dollars to fix a month into taking possession of the house.When I contacted them about my concerns they refused to take any responsibility and were very dismissive and unresponsive. They refused to refund one cent of the $500 dollar fee that I spent on their useless services. Do not give these crooks your business.

Barry was our inspector. It was our first home inspection and we were not sure what to expect. Barry took time to explain all the possible issues. He brought to our attention some code related discrepancies that we wouldn’t know. I had watched various home inspection videos on YouTube and yet learned a lot after this inspection. I had a good idea on what to look, but it was still far from a keen eye of a professional.It was a very positive experience, enough to gain our trust in this company services and possible future business. I booked an Energy Audit for the purposes of applying for the Greener Homes Grant. I took the afternoon off work and waited for the inspector to arrive and they never did. I tried calling but there was no answer. When I did receive a call back they confirmed that they did miss the inspection due to a glitch in their system and asked me to rebook. They were polite and apologetic, but when I asked for a discount on their fee if I were to rebook they declined, so I've moved on to another inspector to not risk wasting more of my time. I understand mistakes happen, but as a business they should be trying harder to make it right.

This is my second time using AmeriSpec and this is the second home i am buying. Barry is very experienced and is meticulous and thorough. I value his expertise and apply the tips given along the inspection. I also follow up and attend to any issues that are raised on the inspection as soon as i am in the new home. I would highly recommend using AmeriSpec and Barry. They are professional, diligent and take some of the stress out of the whole buying ordeal!
