I'll admit I hesitated to come here because of the negative reviews! But, went today, figuring I'd at least try it, and had a really lovely experience. We browsed for agesss with my toddler. The owner greeted us nicely when we came in, let me leave my stroller in the front section of the store, and was very kind and funny with my child when it came time to check out. And the store itself is delightful, with a huge selection for kids of all ages. I'm absolutely coming back for future toy shopping.

Not sure about all the bad reviews but my partner and I were walking past and decided to grab a couple of boards games and such. They had so many games that I played as a kid and forgot about. Great selection. The owner was lovely and very helpful, even explaining a classic game that my partner's never seen before. Will definitely be coming back.

I had a beautiful interaction with the female shop owner the other week. Very friendly & eager to help. We had a great conversation about the quality & care that go into alot of their products & how reasonable their prices are. I will definitely be a returning customer to purchase toys/gifts for all the children in our lives.

I wish I could rate this store a gigantic ZERO. Do not shop here and definitely do not bring your kids. My sister and I love supporting local small businesses. We came in the store the other day with big smiles, excited to see what is inside. We were greeted by a lady (one of the owners?), not sure if she spoke much English or not because she just stared at us when we said hello and complimented the store. Just dead silence and harsh glare. We shook it off and walked a few steps towards the left. I quickly saw something I thought my boyfriend would love to get as a gift for his sister, so I pulled my phone out to take a photo and see if he wanted me to buy it for her. Right away a man (other store owner?) came up behind me YELLING “NO PHOTOS! NO PHONE! DON’T YOU SEE THE SIGN?!” We did not see the sign because we had just walked in and the sign is a tiny piece of paper you had to look UP to see. Nonetheless I said “Oh I’m so sorry I didn’t, I’ll put my phone away.” To which he scoffed and muttered something under his breath. Couldn’t believe how aggressive and scary he was. We tried to keep looking around but the lady was walking right behind us, and the man was just glaring and we felt incredibly uncomfortable so I said to my sister “should we just go?” She said “yes let’s.” Immediately the man said a rude and loud snarky BYE as we were leaving, and THEN he said in a quieter voice something inaudible and then “B**CHES!” We were shocked and disgusted. I will never step foot in this store again and truly do not recommend entering to anyone, especially women and children. I’m not sure if the man and the woman are married or just work together, but I have to admit I am concerned about the woman’s safety because of how vile and aggressive the man is.To the owners if you see this: First of all, get better signs. Second of all, learn how to speak kindly to customers who are the only reason your store still exists. Thirdly, it’s 2022. It is NOT okay to get that close to people, to be so abusive and to call anyone such vulgar words. Awful, awful experience.

We stopped in here to see if they had a pair of kids’ sunglasses - we did not see any and did not stay long enough to find out for sure or browse the toys, because the owner(?) kept very conspicuously following me & my family around like we were going to steal something. The other toy store just east on Queen W has a much nicer atmosphere with more welcoming associates.

Amazing variety. Helpful staff that knows what kids will like for their age. Beautiful selection of puzzles for adults too. The stuffed animal section does not disappoint. Lovely classical music playing for a calm shopping experience. A thoughtfully curated store.

Let’s just say this store is great on its own but the unpleasant attitude of the staff make me not want to shop there. The toy variety is great and they are nicely organized on shelves, which is why I took time to browse through everything so I can come back to get them as gifts (was just passing by that day). I indicated to the staff I am simply browsing. While I was deciding which puzzle to get for myself, I responded to a message on my phone and thought it was a good idea to show my partner what I am deciding between, that’s when the staff told me that I can’t use my phone in a harsh tone. As I left the store, he said “goodbye, goodbye, goodbye. This will be the last time.” I think this was quite uncalled for, and this will indeed be my last time there.

I stumbled upon Toy Terminal while walking down Queen Street with my 11 month old daughter today and am so excited I found it!We had such a nice time exploring the store. The staff were incredibly helpful with suggesting toys my daughter would like, or steering us away from toys she wouldn’t yet be ready to enjoy.I met the owner, Nader, at the cash register and it was clear he was so passionate and knowledgeable about toys. Him and his colleague were so nice I ended up talking to them for 10+ minutes after I paid. This will absolutely be our go to toy / games store for our family moving forward! Would recommend to anyone looking for games or toys in Toronto.
