Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Richmond Hill - Bayview Hill

Not all Kumon centers are the same. This centre is super organized and reliable. They are super patient and encouraging. From achieving small goals and getting rewarded for their consistent effort, kids form good study habit for life time.

My child has been in Kumon for 8 years. Through Kumon, she was able to deepen her understanding of math concepts and learn new techniques. I would highly recommend Kumon to anyone looking to improve their math skills.

Speaking as a person who has been at Kumon for around 5 years, and at this centre for 2, I can safely say that this centre and Kumon as a whole are incredible experiences. As a student, I can say that all staff care deeply about every child, and make sure every student is comfortable with their workload and material. When you are late on your homework, they are patient and understanding. When you struggle with material, they encourage you to reach out, and are always ready to help. There is so much work gone into planning creating each student’s study plan, and so much care was shown when handling the pandemic and creating online classes. I highly recommend this centre, and enrolling, it’s a great opportunity all around!

Something that started off as a part time job, turned into 5 years! Now ex-employee, was an amazing place to have my formative years as a working teenager/young adult. Linta is a fair employer with great wisdom. Was given so much opportunities to make mistakes, learn, and grow. The high quality of work & ethics are what will surely come in handy into future endeavors. I Highly recommend, having been into the environment, and knowing the high care, attention and quality & hours of work poured into the students and behind the scene(Admin work outside of class hours).

My son has been studied at this centre over 7 years. The instructors are very patient and supportive.. They constantly track each student learning progress and provides a tailored advice and help them grow. Now my son has established a good study habit and a positive way of thinking. I definitely recommend this centre to all parents.

My daughter has been taking both Math and Reading programs with the Kumon Richmond Hill - Bayview Hill center for 5 years. She has made fast progress: i.e. moving from slightly below average to platinum level on other subjects. More importantly, the program help her set up a learning routine and positive attitudes on how to constantly face/handle challenges. As a parent, I also learned a lot while I watch her advancing with the help from Linta and her assistants. One thing that I remembered clearly is that, in my very first parent meeting with Linta, I expressed a bit concern on the load of math homework and the repeating pattern. Linta told me that, from the practice, Kumon math eventually would help culturate my daughter's number/logic sense which would benefit her in lifetime. I felt relieved after that.

My kids have been going to this Kumon center for over 10years. Kumon has been a vital contributing factor to their learning journey and compliments their learning in school. I have been very thankful that I made the decision early on to sign them up for Kumon.Once I decided that there was value in Kumon, I was curious of the standard and approach of each Kumon center. There are multiple centers around- some as close as walking distance from my home. I decided that it would be prudent to schedule a tour/ interview with each center to learn for myself whether there is true standard and consistency across each center. What I found very quickly is that it is truly the owner of the center that makes the biggest difference in the focus, priority & learning experience and culture of the center for my children.Ms Linta's approach at this center to education, discipline, communication, courtesy and professionalism are very much aligned with the learning values that I personally wanted for my kids. Most centers claim" that they do this but it is only when you see this in action that you realize whether they truly walk the talk. During in-class sessions Ms Linta is very clear that her focus and that of her staff is the children. While there may be a quick question that she may be able to answer with parents she puts the kids first and parents do wait or parents can schedule appointments in-person or over the phone to have a conversation. The atmosphere at the center while in-session is definitey of calm and focus where children can thrive. The ratio of staff to children is also managed very well. Kids have the attention and support that they need and Ms Linta does manage and supervise her staff very closely. She also is very organized in terms of the progress of each child. As a parent I know that the effort that I place on my child's development is also very important to Ms Linta. Recognition and reward are accomplishments that are given based on the hard work and time invested by the child

My three children go to this Kumon center for more than 10 years. They benefit a lot from doing Kumon homework. The instructors are friendly and patient. They know how to teach young students. The center owner, Linta, always gave me excellent advices on how to help my kids to excel on the worksheets.
