Hamilton Green Landscaping just completed a stone patio and walkways, as well as river stone bordering in our back yard. The final result was excellent. The workers were friendly and polite. The work was completed in the estimated time frame. Professional workmanship. We're delighted with everything. We'll be using them again for future projects and highly recommend this company.

Hamilton Green Landscaping gave us the backyard we've always dreamed of! Communication with Stan was so easy; he was readily available to answer all my questions and was understanding when I changed my mind a dozen times. Tom and his crew were a bunch of hardworking men and were so knowledgeable about landscaping. They had such pride in their work and you can tell it wasn't just a job for them. I would hire them over and over. We are so excited to spend many hours out here this summer! Thanks so much.

We had our front & back yards completely landscaped. Stan promptly provided an estimate of the work. Stan’s crew were professional and hardworking.They also planted a few small juniper bushes for us. The job was completed on time as promised & also fixed a minor issue on-site as well. Quality landscaping at a reasonable and competitive price.We would highly recommend Hamilton Green Landscaping.

Stan and Steve have a great team of skilled, hard working and customer focused people. They were able to help create a space that we can now use in comfort any time of the day.

Contracted with them to remove 2 trees and plant 6 cedars in my side yard. Contract stated (in writing) cedars would be 6-8’ but they showed up and they were less than 5’. Asked for a partial credit which was refused. We agreed they would plant two other trees we had for free instead, but only after arguing the point with them that they didn’t deliver what I had paid for. Shouldn’t have had to do that…but anyway, I wanted the cedars planted in a straight line down the side of my house by professional who would properly prep the soil. Cedars were planted NOT straight at all and each in a small hole with very little extra dirt and no drainage pebbles below root ball as cedars don’t like to sit in water. I asked the guy on-site about this and he literally had no idea about how to plant a cedar to ensure it actually thrives, he just digs holes and stuffs trees in. No one with any plant knowledge was onsite. I would have assumed dealing with ‘professionals’ they would know more than just to dig a small hole barely big enough for the root ball and stuff it into the ground. Save your money because almost anyone can do that. I was so frustrated by the end I just let them leave because they didn’t care whether I was satisfied with the job. They knew I was mad but no one followed up with me and no one cared whether the workmanship had any quality to it. They seemed to just wanted my money and had no care for how to help the plants thrive. Not surprisingly, all 6 cedars didn’t make it through the winter and was told by Stan the warranty was only 3 months so I’m SOL. Pulled all 6 out and replaced myself the next year with properly prepped soil with proper drainage and now they are thriving. I feel like I literally flushed $2800 down the toilet. This is not a knowledgeable or professional company. If you want them to dig a hole and stuff plants in it, they’re great for that. If you want your plant to be prepped a proper environment to thrive, this isn’t the company to do that, in my opinion.

We were extremely happy with the work Stan and his guys did. The pavers for the patio and bbq were what we envisioned and were installed with a slight angle away from the house for proper drainage. The crews were very professional the entire time they were on site and cleaned up at the end of they. Communication was excellent throughout and any questions I had were promptly answered. I would definitely recommend this company for any landscaping needs.

I highly recommend avoiding this company.Last spring (May 2020) we hired Stan Hamilton to sod our yard, plants some trees and shrubs, create a small rock bed, and build a backyard fence at a new residential build. We have numerous photos of the work. Our concerns have been send to Stan Hamilton on numerous occasions since June 2020.The good:they were able to start the job shortly after we contacted them.The bad:1) “Decorative top cap runner” began twisting/warping within weeks. I believe this occurred for several reasons: the runners end randomly along the fence and do not align with the fence posts and the runners were poorly fixed to the fence with large gaps between the fence and the runner. This was addressed by Stan just nailing/screwing the runners down tighter. The runners remain unaligned with the posts and there are even large (inches!) gaps between the runners! Yikes!!!2) Within 3 days I had to adjust the gate latches and continue to do so very frequently. I believe this is secondary to a poorly made gate (no bracket, diagonal braces, or other support). The frame continues to sag with the door going out of square.3) The sloppiness of the work is well demonstrated by the many screws that missed the centre runner and were never removed (or replaced) by Stan. This would have been an easy fix.4) Stan planted the wrong type of tree. We specifically requested a Siouxland cottonwood for my backyard and a Japanese elm was planted with the labels still attached and clearly elms leaves.5) Garbage from the workers (food container and drink bottles) was left in our yard and along two hand tools.6) Stan planted an elm tree in our front yard 22” from a municipal water stop. I could be wrong, but I have heard from several people that they won’t allow any closer than 1m. I emailed this concern to Stan on July 10, 2020.The Ugly:Stan has not addressed our concerns. We know a mutual person who has attempted to contact him regarding our concerns several times – Stan continues to state that he does not know what our concerns are and that we have not contacted him. Simply not addressing our concerns and ignoring our emails/text messages is very unprofessional and is our greatest disappointment.We warmly welcome any contact from Stan or his team members to address our concerns.

Our front walk and lawn were in need of a complete overhaul. The outcome gave new life to our home. We found them to be professional, efficient, and accommodating to our vision. We plan to have them return for phase 2: our backyard. We have already referred 2 other customers within 48 hours! And our neighbours have been making inquiries too! Thank you to HG crew for a job well done!

Stan was prompt to get us a quote, respond to texts, and start our project. His crew, Tom & Brett were friendly, polite, on time, hard working, and welcoming to questions during the process. Tom offered professional design suggestions and we are happy we took his advice. Stan met with us when we had a concern in a prompt fashion and was able to rectify the situation to our satisfaction. Stan and/or Steve showed up to our place once a day sometimes twice and spoke with us each time. Communication was fluid through the whole job. We have a sprinkler system that was returned to new positions and landscaping edging seeded all to our satisfaction. Our new driveway has received multiple compliments and we are extremely happy with the finished product. We would recommend Hamilton Green Landscaping. Thank you Stan, Steve, Tom & Brett.

We used Stan and team to complete our patio. We are very happy with it. What I liked is how quickly the job was done and the quality of the work. The stones are a beautiful grey colour- really a great quality product. We also shopped around for quotes and Stan’s price was more affordable than other vendors. I would recommend this business.
