A charming store with decent selection of used books.Tidy, spacious, large window with natural light. Has the charm that a used book store has. Plays tasteful music too. A place to find old books too: the books with a hardcover, with type writer style font, printed on off-white pages, decorated with golden edges, and at times with patterned end papers. A treat to be able to see, flip through, or purchase these books, for those who can appreciate this. Refreshing in our digital age of electronic books, to behold a physical book where great care was put into its creation. Flipped through a few children's books here that are unique too. Delightful addition to the neighborhood. Friendly customer service.

They had a really good variety but they were disorganized & expensive.

What a surprise this place was. Literally thousands of books! Owner was very pleasant. Books are categorised well and it’s easy to find any particular genre. Between my daughter and I we got 5 books for less than $40 and they were all in excellent condition.

There is a reason that Stillman Books is around when so many others did not survive. Amazing selection and owner knows more about the stock than most librarians.

Sad to hear Terry is closing the store on July 1, 2023. Between internet and increasing rent cannot make a go of it. Shame.

The owner has an absolutely uncanny knowledge of his own stock, and a fantastic variety. It's quite fun to go in and ask for the owners recommendations!

I stumbled across this little shop today and popped in. Great locally owned book store with a lovely selection of books. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great little chat. I will definitely be back soon and recommend to anyone that loves books.

Great little store, the owner helped me find a bunch of books for my nieces. I paid $5 per book when they're $20+ at Chapters! Things can be a bit hard to find as the shelves are stacked and there is crossover between fiction/fantasy/sci fi but the owner seems to know exactly where specific titles are and if he has them or not/in the back so just ask!

Looks like the other reviews had a more positive experience than I did. My first visit to the store today, I greeted the owner and did not get a greeting or acknowledgement back, I asked if he had a specific book I was looking for and was told “No”, one word answer. As I was walking out the door I heard the owner say “next time you come back bring a longer list”Guess what, I will never be back!

White Rock finally got a used bookstore back in 2016 and I am so happy. I try to come in as often as I can but it is never as often as I would like to. He has a pretty decent selection of cozy mysteries so that makes me happy because I like to own them sometimes.
