I became sold on the place a couple of years ago when I went to a number of places to get a key cut and this gentleman knew what the problem was and cut me a perfect key. I have been getting my keys cut there ever since. I do wish this business took debit or credit cards but the fact is if you want a key cut that always works this is the place to do it. You have to be careful to call ahead in case the owner is on a service call.

I took some locks in to get re-keyed with extra copies made. The service was quick and I think I was given a discount without it being mentioned. Would recommend!

Excellent locksmith. Helped me with a very old lock that probably dates to the 1930's. Just call ahead as not always in the shop ... does field work too. Very experienced.

I found him very rude. He did not stand behind this work. This was not even question of money - he just did not have a skill to fix the issue and no decency to admit it, so he blames people for not knowing how to work the door . It just does not make sense to me that the entry door of an apartment building gets broken every time someone fails to use both hands to open it.

Other than the random hours (while on calls), this used to be the place to go for anything key/lock related.However, in the past 6 months, he's ruined 2 blank car keys and couldn't make an accurate copy of a simple entry lock key. The nearby hardware store cut it just fine.

Helpful, better to call ahead they are out on service calls during business hours. They did not have what I needed but directed to a source which I would never have found.

I needed a motorcycle key cut, and when I asked for recommendations everyone suggested Burkes. I gave them a call this morning and left a message on the machine asking them to give me a call back to let me know when they would be in the shop. Received a call back quickly, took a run over there, 3 minutes and $1.15 later I had a perfect copy of my bike key. (I showed up with my own blank in hand). Excellent service - would definitely recommend!

Great service, worth giving a call ahead of time to see if they are in the shop. Can sometimes be out on the road if you pop in.
