Creative Concepts Landscapes

In the Summer of 2020, Mike and the team at Creative Concepts came to my property in Hamilton and in less than two weeks transformed my property. I could tell during the quoting process how detail oriented and serious Mike took his craft. I had six quotes done and no one took as many measurements or asked as many questions. I would learn that Mike had experience in landscape design, he has a keen eye for detail that helped me develop the plan for my back yard. His quote was by far the most comprehensive as he took the time to understand my vision. There were no questions half way through about what was included, no hidden fees or up charges. The backyard and side yard were a mess after having waterproofing done in 2019, the backyard had never been landscaped and required significant work. Creative Concepts installed a patio at the rear of the house with large slab stones and used pavers along the front and side of the house. The biggest concern that I had was drainage, the waterproofing the year had only increased my awareness of drainage around the house. The team took this to heart and ensured slopes and landscaping always had water drainage top of mind. I was immediately impressed with the long days the team worked as well as how clean they kept the site. The stone I had chosen was on back order due to the pandemic, I later found out that Mike called around to landscaping supply companies and travelled to Toronto to ensure I got the stone I wanted. The other issue was getting plants, I had specific plants that I wanted but again due to the pandemic it was difficult to get the plants I wanted, but Mike found a way. The whole job went incredibly smoothly with no hiccups, in fact I had several neighbors ask for Mike’s number after seeing the transformation. The foreman that Mike had on the team was incredible and would constantly ask if I was happy, I had him move a shrub 8 inches and he was happy to do it. I would not hesitate to use Creative Concepts again, I have already recommended them to my family and friends. I could not be happier with the workmanship and the professionalism provided by Creative Concepts.

We recently decided to use Creative Concepts Landscaping to redo the outside of our home. Through the design process they were accommodating of our desires and budget, proposing various drafts before we decided on a final design that we were very excited about!During the project we were happy to have the crew working on our home, we felt comfortable having them around and that we had a voice during the entire process.The crew were very helpful when we encountered set backs with another aspect of our home. They were willing to work with other contractors and provide us with the time we needed complete another large upgrade to our home mid project.We are very happy with the amazing work completed, the ability to work with Mike so that we could stick to our budget as well has the constant communication from the crew. When my wife and I decided to get rid of our withering front lawn and change it to a garden, we went through several landscaping companies to get quotes. The things we were looking for when interviewing the perspective landscape company was honesty and a genuine interest in our project; Mike was both.His attentiveness to our needs and budget was refreshing. The other landscaping companies didn’t seem too interested and didn’t offer any ideas, insight or suggestions, which made us feel like the entire burden of the project was on our shoulders.Mike offered us suggestions to keep us in-line with our budget, but his suggestions did not take away from our “vision” of what we has for the front, it only made it more sensible. Mike is also knowledgeable about plants, shrubs and trees and was able to give me some good suggestions on the cherry tree I wanted planted.Jesse, Mike’s on-sight project manager was vey easy to deal with and kept us up-to-date daily as to the progress of the project and offered design change suggestions that made sense and added “wow!” to the end result.We had Mike and his team build a front porch to the house, as well as remove the front lawn and an old tree stump to add the beautiful landscaping as well as my cherry tree. My wife and I could not be more pleased with how well and easy the entire project went and as the attitude and friendliness of the entire crew.Mike’s business is growing fast, so if you have a landscaping project in mind, you better book it sooner than later, as Creative Concepts gets booked up really fast, due to the reasons outlined above.

The team at Creative Concepts updated our gardens, giving our home a fresh and clean new look. From our initial meeting with Mike to the final clean up, everything was seamless.
