Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba - Metrotown
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the servers are friendly. The kokoro ramen we ordered was tasty. I liked its creamy broth very much. Octopus takoyaki were also nice. And what awed us the most was their cheese cake. It was creamy like mousse, with crunchy chocolate cookies at the bottom. Fried calamari, on the other hand, is only okay (compared to other delicious cuisines, wouldn’t recommend this dish). Overall it’s a great experience dining here.

if you are a japanese food lover, this place is a must try. great location with a lot of parking and is also very accessible using public transportation.this location have a nice ambiance and very friendly staff. we ordered zenbu mazesoba, schezuan tonkatsu ramen, tomato tonkatsu ramen, ginza don, takoyaki, ninja gyoza and chicken karaage. we love all the food that we ordered and will be back to try the other items on their menu. prices are very affordable.

First time at this Kokoro location! Had the Mentaiko Cream Mazesoba (one of the few non-spicy mazesoba options), and it was a very flavourful bowl with the mix of protein and vegetables. It's the perfect portion for lunch! Started our meal with Agedashi Tofu and their Ninja Gyoza. The gyoza had ample filing and a crispy exterior, and the tofu was topped with bonito flakes. Had a good experience here with friendly and prompt service! Would love to return again.

Arigatou ありがとう !First time Mazesoba experience, hooked for sure and as always, noods for life!! This clean and modern joint is dope, super yummy authentic Japanese cuisine with a modern, vibrant and positive vibe and energy.I got a portion of Edamame 枝豆 which was plentiful, fresh and steamed to perfection. Followed up Vegan Mazesoba which was only an extra buck to add tofu was good value for money as the quality is phenomenal, on points and a unique flavor. I totally dig this and consider me mazesoberized for life, this dish is rad!The staff aren't super tentative, but isn't a huge deal as the food is hella good. My only complaint was that even though the noodles were fat, chewy and super tasty, they were cut up into such finite strips it makes eating it a slow and rather difficult process.Support local businesses!

Good stuff, it's not common to find Udon noodles served as such and with so many options. Delicious! And you can opt for a little rice at the end and soak up the extra broth. Friendly service, lots of room and a cosy interior.

My first Kokoro Mazesoba was in Vancouver. I found their Mazesoba quite salty that I was afraid to try and eat at this location.I’m glad I tried it again! All the food that I’ve ordered from this location I never had any issues with.My favorite is Kokoro ramen tonkotsu. It’s unique compared to other ramen places I’ve had. It’s not too salty and not fatty that often causes me to get sick of the soup quickly. This is one of the few I can finish down to the last drop. I find it tastes a bit milky but not creamy that it’s thick.I’ve tried their mazesoba too and it’s not that salty as well that I didn’t need to use their vinegar to prevent getting ‘sick’ of it.I enjoyed the takoyaki and all the friends I brought here all enjoyed their meals!The location, parking is convenient. The overall ambience and staff are excellent!I’ll keep coming back to this location, and I have been :)

Bright location with a fun train/city theme.Everything on their menu has a rich, strong flavour, so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're looking for something light. I come here pretty regularly for their mazesobas. They're tasty with a hint of fish and have a depth of flavour, though the chashu cubes have variable quality and are sometimes tough. Their ramens aren't particularly special though, so if you're coming here definitely order their mazesoba.

Great atmosphere. A bit pricy for what i am getting.Tthe fried chicken bao bun was a bit tough. the bao istalef is chewy and feels like only microwaved to warm it. I had Szechuan Ramen. the base coup as good and the spicy Schezuan fusion. however the pork belly BBQ is quite tough and schewy.

This is my first time going to the Metrotown location and it was still pretty good. Since it’s been a while since I went I noticed there was a lot more on the menu this time! My go to thing on the menu is the Zenbu Mazesoba and it did not disappoint. I also decided to try something new and got the Spicy Ramen. To be honest I would stick to the Mazesoba over the Ramen. The Ramen broth was really rich and yummy but I felt like it was missing something. Overall It was still really good! Make sure to get a scoop of rice for your Mazesoba when you finish the noodles!

The spicy Mazesoba is da bomb! Spicy and savory. Noodles cooked to perfection (Al dente), and the sauce has umami flavour. The egg yolk binds the noodles together. It was insanely delicious!My husband ordered the Spicy Chicken Ramen with clear chicken broth. It was yummy too, but I think the dry noodles are definitely tastier.Highly recommended.
