We called Jim-L Plumbing install a backwater valve. Their work was great and the cost was at the low end of their estimate. Will definitely trust them for all future plumbing needs. They were highly recommended by our trusted regular plumber who is slowly moving into retirement.

Never again. This company replaced a water heater that lasted less than 7 years. I contacted the office and didn't hear back. After 4 days, I contacted them again, and they finally sent a technician. He was at my house for 8 minutes, and told me what I already knew - that the water heater needed to be replaced. Weeks later, I received an invoice for a minimum charge" of $96.05. At no point in any of our correspondence was there mention of a minimum charge."

So I call them at 11am. Tell themI have a clogged drain and the tell me they will come between 3:30 and 5pm arrive at 3:45. Noah (their plumber) got right to work cleared the drain and clean up. Super nice you man. Jim L is lucky to have him. Simply blown away. Highly recommend. Thanks Jim L.

I had an emergency leak that required installation of a shutoff valve. The plumber was onsite within 2 hours, made quick and tidy work of the job. When I received the invoice, I was pleased to see this company charges appropriately for the work and services they provide, even during an urgent request such as mine. I hope to not have any more plumbing issues, however, if I do, I know who I’ll be calling. Thank you.

Water heater was replaced the same day, Sept 2021. The verbal quote I received was not honored. When the invoice came in it was over 100% more. I emailed and called right away and explained my situation.Many phone calls and emails when un-answered for MONTHs. I sent a follow up email in November only got a response 60days later. Only received $200 off the invoice.Administration and bill payment is horrendous. the quality of work is great though, which is sad because this could be a go to plumbing service. That said, I would avoid.I understand that I should have received a quote in writing. But the plumber comes does the job and leaves, invoice in the mail. There is no direct phone number, just an answering service.avoid.

I'll add my two cents to these reviews. We had Jim-L replace our power vent hot water heater with a direct vent tank three years ago. It is completely silent, great install, problem free. Hired them again two months ago to replace our bath tub. Perfect install, even with the added challenge of the plumbers having to take out a row of floor tile first, to make sure the bathtub was level and not sitting on a floor that could never be replaced again. (I'm not a fan of built up floors. There were already three different layers of flooring there.)They use a call service to manage calls, and seem very busy - it took 6 weeks to get our invoice after the install. That could be a minus if you're impatient, but we hired them for the plumbing. The price was as expected based on the estimate.The plumbers are great but work fast. They will try to protect floors, etc. as they go, but supplying some of your own drop cloths is a good idea.

Many thanks to Jamie at Jim L Plumbing. He was very thorough and polite. I've hired 3 different plumbing companies over the past 12 years and each of them did sub par work, over promised and under performed. I'm happy to say that I have now found a plumber that I can trust ! Thank you Jamie !

Called with an issue for a water softener. They made an appointment for a visit to diagnose the issue. This part was ok.Problem supposedly diagnosed and part was to be ordered and arrive the next day. They said they'd be in touch and at least 2 weeks later, still nothing from them. We even went to the business, called, e-mailed and nothing.

My experience with this company was partly satisfactory & partly disappointing. So unfortunate they couldn't search deeper to find a part that would have resolved the plumbing situation in my home. Would I use them again? Questionable?
