We loved working with Alyssa! She is such a happy person and has the best energy. We are working through some behavioral issues with our dog and she has been so informative in helping us understand our dog more which has improved our relationship with her. Beyond Dog Training/Alyssa has been wonderful!! She is lively, confident, friendly, understanding AND PATIENT. She has been working with our dog for fear aggression, over active behavior (she doesn't know when to stop - think of an over active ADHD child, that's our dog!) She has also worked with our oldest dog and the newest puppy. She is knowledgeable, hands on and clearly wants the best for you and your dog! She teaches YOU and your dog. Alyssa is very knowledgeable and worked closely with us and our new rescue puppy to help him adjust to this big scary world. She came up with lots of great ideas and demonstrated how to do them in our home and around our neighbourhood. Leo needed help building confidence during walks, increasing his comfort with the crate, decreasing barking in the house, and improving relations with his sibling cats to name a few areas we worked on. She made things easy to understand and carry out! I highly recommend Beyond Dog Training for any dog training concerns you may have. Leo is much more confident and such a sweetie- we are so in love with him!

Alyssa is such an amazing dog trainer! She has helped us work on over coming leash pulling, dog reactivity, fear of the bath and confidence building (both Maisy and myself) with our 17 month old female golden retriever. From the moment we started talking on the phone for our consultation to our last last follow up appointment she had such a positive and encouraging attitude. If you are a motivated owner who wants to see improvement in your dogs behaviour Alyssa is your gal! Alyssa is very well educated in using both positive reinforcement and balanced training methods which really helped us. We were previously only using positive reinforcement and it only got us so far in our training and then we hit a wall. Then Alyssa helped us properly introduce balance training methods with a slip lead and we saw major improvements in Maisy’s leash walking, which improvement her confidence and decreased dog reactivity. We are still working through these issues and even though our in person training sessions are done (for the time being), Alyssa is still offering support when we have questions or regressions in our training and giving us new solutions to try and continuing to be our cheerleader when we have wins or are working through difficult situations. I would highly recommend Beyond Dog Training (Alyssa) to help you with any training needs!!

Alyssa at Beyond Dog Training has been MONUMENTAL in helping me become a better leader for my little dog Potato! My shitzu/terrier mix puppy, although small, is a handful.Being a first time dog owner, I didn't realize all the ways I had been giving my dog permission to run my life! You don't know what you don't know. There's so much misinformation out there too!But Alyssa was so patient with both of us and really took the time to explain different training methods and WHY they would work for my particular dog. She gives fun little exercises for me and my dog that have really helped him become more disciplined and have improved our relationship.Overall, she's been fantastic! Any dog owner would be lucky to have her in their corner. Thanks Alyssa!
