Ace Western Motel
We stayed here as a family of three and this accommodation was perfect for our overnight stop en route from Vancouver to the Rockies. The two queen sized beds were very comfortable indeed, the coffee machine microwave and fridge very welcome and the shower was hot. The manager was friendly and welcoming and in the morning kept us informed of a local power cut which lasted only an hour. Typical motel accommodation with rooms accessed from outside. Nothing fancy, but everything we needed. Great accomodation.

The staff are super friendly and work very quick, the bed was comfortable and clean. But outside of that the room is not built for a modern traveller, there was one outlet to plug in a phone or laptop and my phone didn’t even fully charge over a period of 11 hours, sticky old phone to call reception, tub that’s barely big enough for a child. For the price I paid ($113 including tax and a dog), it was alright at best, tolerable if you are desperate for a place to stay (say an emergency), but otherwise it’s not really worth it.

The interior was quite out of style. The AC unit was quite a nuisance to bear with it. Luckily, my room didn't smell like cigarettes. Nobody to check you out in the morning. Just drop the door key in the key box.

We had Two rooms booked for a motorcycle trip .Due to the Highway through Edson Alberta being closed because of wildfires we could not make the trip as planned. Called the owner 32 hours ahead of time to cancel & he would not budge & still charged us full price for the rooms. You would have thought he would understand the situation because of the fires .We & our friends will never book here again. To the owner (thanks for your lack of compaction .

I booked 2 rooms and had a group bail on me prior to arrival. They made me pay for both rooms since the cancelation wasn't within the allowed timeframe.Well, that's one way to make a bit of money, but I won't be coming back.Now, if they waived the cancelation penalty (which is equal to the room fee), I'd stay here every time I'm in town. But apparently, that's not their business model.So I won't be coming back.

I don't know how motels like this still exist...The decor looks like it's 50 years old and I wouldn't be surprised if the beds were also close to that age. Within 5 minutes of laying on it I could feel my back start to hurt (I am a 30 year old male in good shape). Tiny TV. Some people said their rooms were clean but ours had a layer of dust on the baseboards and dead bugs throughout.$170/night is a joke for this. Spend the extra money and stay literally anywhere else.

Owners very accomodating. We stayed in a pet room and the smell of dog urine.from the rug was terrible. Woke up in the morning and there was ants crawling around all over the floor near the dog water dish. Price was good but unfortunately will not be back.

Ace Western Motel
Basic but comfortable and clean. Very nice staff. We'd stay here again. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure and temperature was great. This is a no frills place but serves the lodging need nicely.
