Terrible customer service. I purchased a Buffet and Hutch. The Hutch is not attached to the Buffet and is wobbly. I was told to mount the hutch on the wall which seems idiotic. When I requested a second shelf for the Hutch, I was told by Mako Management, its going to cost me, although the images I received prior to ordering showed 2 shelves.The Buffet and Hutch overall is very nice and I would give it a 4 star, for customer service 1 star. I have been a loyal customer, but it is apparent that's not something they care about. I will not make any other purchase from Mako.

After reading the other reviews I count myself lucky for getting away with finally having a satisfactory product delivered after only 3 aggravating tries. I suspect that the 5 star reviews are submitted by family/friends (I recognize the name of one of the owner/family members in one of the reviews).It's a shame that the service is so ghastly. There's a lot to recommend about their products if it was a hassle free experience. It's not. Great designs, poor workmanship and zero quality control. I was even mildly hassled by the driver on the third attempt at satisfaction to accept the product so that his boss wouldn't kill him". After a short/concise clarification of my level of concern for his bosses wishes we got on with the remaining acceptance inspection. A potentially very good business but a lot has got to change. I think bankruptcy is in their future."

I bought a dresser from them. Smells like fresh pine in the house. Fairly sturdy for the price. Mines in great working order. But from the comments i’m just glad I didn’t have any issues or bought a bed frame. This is just an emergency buy for me. Used furniture stores had no dressers. Having a baby boy. Boy needs a dresser. My old one works great but does not look or feel as nice as the one I got from mako. Though I never had a brand new dresser before. So I’m easier to satisfy in this category.

Purchased a Mako Soho king bed from Factory Direct Furniture in Prince George BC. It did not come with enough screws to assemble the bed slats. Being waiting a week for the screws from the retailer. The foot of bed was not fully attached on one corner. Very poor quality control. Stay away from this company, don't let their marketing fool you, being a made in canada product means absolutely nothing and their reputation is not SOLID.

Upon delivery of my robina storage bed, there were two right sides instead of a left and right. These came from the factory in clearly marked boxes stating left and right. My dealer and myself contacted Mako and a request for the correct side was made on August 27, 2018. To date I have not received the correct side. This company did nothing to correct their mistake and I am told it will be here shortly. I would never buy their furniture again very poor customer service.

Purchased a king sized frame, 4/10 slats are SOO twisted it won't rest in frame! The knarly twist in slats shortened overall length. The pre-drilled holes to attach the center piece are bigger than the screws provided.Nice looking in store, but a horrible experience trying to assemble @ homeBottom line: shop elsewhere !!

I absolutely loved the design. We purchased the entire King suite. Bed frame with head/foot board, tall dresser, 2 night stands and a chest dresser with mirror. We were told it would be a bit of a wait - we were willing to wait. When the product finally started to arrive - it came incomplete. Several pieces were sent back due to damage or poor quality control (stain missing, dents or cracks). I finally received the last dresser today and it looks like I am going to have to stain the sides myself. The handles on the dresser drawers will not tighten all the way and the drawers do not open / close without some force. It's very obvious that no one tested the drawers to see if the glides were working properly or not. I expected so much better for the price. The furniture store has done everything they can to make us happy - but overall I'm really disappointed. I would NOT recommend this product.

As other reviewers have said, the reviews with five stars are probably fake. I have just battle for a day with Konto and ended up returning my MAKO bedroom set. out of 3 pieces all 3 were damaged in shipping because of poor packaging. The staining was poor and some inside corners had spots with no stain. there were two finger prints in the stain. the bed supports on the side boards were attached with NAILS! I have never seen nails in furniture. The Solid Wood" in the head board and foot board was plywood finished one side. The only thing that seemed to be good quality were the dove tail drawers which is what the sales people really focused on. I am so disappointed with "Canadian Made" I will buy quality no matter where if comes from I won't pay high prices for crap just because it is "Canadian Made" Look really closely before purchasing MAKO!"
