Unfortunately, the woman at the counter doubled my fees and did not show me the bill. She handed it off to the manager and I had to drive back later that day to sort out the fees. It was double the cost of what I had reserved. I was very frustrated with the entire experience.The overall car was fine, it was just a simple Ford.

Prices changed (increased) twice when picking the car up. Upon returning, the desk worker informed us that the previous worker “messed up” and increased the price AGAIN, by $85. That’s not even mentioning an 11% “concession loss fee” — not mentioned anywhere but the receipt.A week later we received a $49.99 charge for toll road usage via plate pass. Not only did we not drive in any toll roads, the charges were from a different state. It took multiple emails, geotagged photos proving we were 2 states away an hour before the charges and finally yesterday we got confirmation that the fee will be refunded. It has been a month, we’ll see when the refund actually arrives.Incredibly poor service all around. You have lost a customer for good, Hertz.

Arrived at the Hertz agency. Have an existing reservation. Waited in the rental car line at Hertz for 45m. Got to the counter and went through all the rigamarole. And then was told that we have to wait an additional hour before getting the car.The poor employees are unhappy, everyone still in line is unhappy, and everyone waiting for their actual car is unhappy.Know who isn't unhappy? The CEO of Hertz who makes $182MM per year.✅ Added Hertz to my list of companies to boycott

You’d think when you pay up front that you’d have a vehicle when renting at a specific time on a day? NOPE. You would think a 5 BILLION dollar company would be able to figure out their one job and not fail miserably. How can you not figure out timing with how advanced technology has become. Use your wealth to make a program that would make sure you have cars! 5 billion dollars but can’t have a single vehicle ready to drive when reserved. Now stuck waiting an hour for a vehicle because Hertz can’t keep at least one vehicle on the lot.

This was an extremely frustrating rental experience. After traveling all night, we waited for over an hour with many other customers because they had zero cars available, even though my reservation was pre-paid. The first agent I dealt with did not seem to care, and it seemed like this was a regular occurrence at this location. Finally got a car that was different from what I reserved and it did not have cruise control, which was annoying given the many hours of interstate driving our trip required. The only bright spot was the person who checked the rental in when we returned it - he was very nice and helpful.

We hired our car via our travel agent with Dollar which is owned by Hertz. I rang Dollar prior to our pick up date and was told we were getting a very small car when we had ordered an intermediate vehicle. . He could cancel our booking and redo the agreement for an extra 2k. This did not sit well with me so said I would c contact my travel agent who confirmed it was an intermediate vehicle. We were very apprehensive in regard to the pick up. I walked into Hertz who was handling the rental and Anita was fantastic. She had a calming voice and manner and nothing was a problem. She apologise for the Dollar call centre. But really Anita saved the day. Well done.

Arrived hours after expected time and told no cars were available and it would be an hour wait. Many others getting the same story then some people come in and get cars right away. Employees just say there are no cars, they cant adjust your car type or rate. You cant make a phone call in the area and then when you FINALLY get upstairs … wow surprise…tons of parked cars waiting to go- wont use Hertz again

If I could give it 0 stars I would.We've been waiting over 2 hours and still have no sign of any keys.All booked well in advance, all pre paid.A group of very tired and frustrated travelers standing around waiting, not what you need after a long flight.After a complaint and argument with unhelpful staff, one couple went next door to Enterprise and seemed to get a car without issue.Unhelpful staff who seem to need training.Complicated and inefficient computer systems.Terrible communication to waiting customers.It would seem they have too few cars.The man behind the desk who gives out keys goes off to get keys from the car park every now and then (instead of helping other people in the queue) and then spends 10-15min handing each key over.The lady behind the counter seems out of her depth with the systems and struggled to check us in.How could they possibly get it so wrong? I've hired many cars in my time and never experienced anything like this. We took a Hertz car from a Canadian airport 4 days ago and it took no more than 5-10min to get our key.Looking at these reviews, this seems to be a long standing issue!Come on Hertz!

After our flight and going to the rental car counter, the attendant tries to upsell me by adding in rental insurance; however, when I pre-booked online I had declined that option. I was then told that it would be approximately a 45 minute wait prior to receiving a car. My wife and I waited over 2.5 hours. I had checked with an attendant twice. The first time, the attendant blew me off by telling me that I would just need to wait. The second time, I told the attendant that I would take the next available car rather than the midsized sedan I requested. At that point I was provided with a parking spot number for the car. I asked a parking lot attendant for help finding the car to which he responded that I was on the wrong floor. I then asked the Gold Member" attendant for assistance. This attendant seemed very put upon. When we came upon the numbered space

Awful experience! Waited 1 hour to get car because they were low on staff. I assume since pandemic they haven't hire people that they fired! There was only 1 nice person for a long time and they had cars for everybody but long wait because there is no one to give it to you! Nice job corporations!!!
