Language Assessment and Referral Centre

Instructor Mr. Jean Pierre is very discouraging , disappointing and antagonistic person, specifically with the Arabs (not Lebanese), and Muslims in general. Canada is multicultural country. His students must be checked time to time by someone else for evaluation to see why they are struggling and not being able to improve their language or they are doing great but he still holding them in the same level. He can’t understand his students’ requirements meaning the student needs for the language is it for academic or for living and finding jobs and communicating with people. Generally understanding your institution objectives for lifting people’s literacy and fitting them in the community and Mr Pierre making students running away to English because he showed them they can’t fit in French language. Not offending anyone (Mr. Pierre), but we need better environment for better communities. This my opinion and you know what you are doing and I wish you understood my point, and he can change his attitude and treat anyone fairly and equally.Thanks

Helpful people.Its not open in Saturdays.Should have a silent environment for writing,reading test.It was noisy to focus on test.parking is almost full and $4 per hour.

Very disorganized. Do not communicate all the information, lose documents. Hours are impossible for working people to accommodate. Strongly recommend a different location, as I dealt with YMCA language assessment before and never seen such an unprofessional location

I went there to get my assessment.I have sent an email the HQ to get the English test. And I told them about my status. The HQ set the date to me to come for test. When I arrived there the reception was very rude. She said that I have to get my PR card first to join the test. I told her about the email from their HQ who asked me to come here... but the reception angry like no attitude. They could not act like that with the new comer who needs some guideline, just talk nicely and give them the direction. don't be mad seems like the area is own my you. She look at me very rude... I was almost cried that time. She never think that how hard to come to the place on time in very cold weather.And then the teacher come and very nice to talk and she said that I could join the test but can not get the result due to i have not get my PR card.To the institution, please help to improve the service.. please be polite with every people... give them nice direction not just say something not in polite way...Before you here in your position you also in the process of immigration.. and you know that you need people to support you.. especially you work for this kind of service.

I found the staff to be very welcoming and professional. I requested an English evaluation, and the interviewer was very professional.

Was here for the French language assessment. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. You may have to wait a bit to get assessment appointments. The location is just off of Hwy 417. So its easy to get here.

I went for English and French assessment test. The receptionist and the staff were very nice and professional. I found the enviroment very calm and the staff friendly.

Never get my called answered or called back. Can anyone tell me what's happening? Do I need to go there in person every time, without making appointments?

The receptionist was very helpful. She managed to book my language assessment and also gave a direction to get more information and helping with my resume, CV and jobs in another Y unit.
