It is simply embarrassing that a Crown corporation funded by our taxes is allowed to do this. They started cutting back hours pre holidays last year, so this isn’t exactly new. Sure, you can now access your box (but no parcels), but it’s funny how they stopped allowing access outside normal biz hours in 2019 due to theft. What’s the difference now folks? Taking away the 3.45 hours on Saturday when you only staff the counter for 4.5 hours during the week is unacceptable and there is no sign this will change come the end of March. The services Canada Post provides to rural communities is just bad all around and we deserve MUCH better.
