Just spent a truly amazing weekend at Big Eddy Lodge for Escape the Hooved Man Fat Bike Race. You will not find a more friendly, adventurous family to spend quality time with in true wilderness. Great accommodations and delicious food. I’ve returned here many times and can never get enough of this place and people.

I have had the privilege of being hosted by Solomon,Renee,Michela, Leo(and the dogs) on two separate occasions and in two different season's.First in the summer of 2022 as I paddled the N.Sask River to Manitoba. And the second during their annual Escape the Hooved Man" Fat Bike Race held in February 2023.They go above and beyond to make you feel at home during your stay. I highly recommend visiting this part of Saskatchewan and the unique river delta that the lodge is located in.P.S. A good sauna after a long day of paddling or cycling is definitely worth the effort in getting there."

Visited for the Escape the Hooved Man race weekend February 18 to 20 2023.What an incredible place!! A wonderful family that truly goes out of their way to make sure everyone is taken care of. Great food, cozy accommodations, good company and the fat bike trails are better than you can imagine. Make room in your calendar to visit for the next race, you will love it and will make it a yearly event.

Fatbiking along the most incredibly well groomed trails across frozen lakes, rivers, and woodlands of the Cumberland Delta area is an amazing experience as is everything about the Big Eddy Lodge and the host Carriere family. I love that the only way in is over 10km on a snowmobile or under your own power - in our case fatbikes. This is my 6th winter trip to ride and visit and I am already excited to return again in 2024 for more trails and tales.

Over the past few years I have been fortunate enough to visit Aski Holistic Adventures in both summer and winter months. Each time was an incredible experience that I will always fondly remember. Fat Biking on perfectly groomed trails and paddling with expert guides were special for me, but having Michela share her knowledge and heritage during a tea ceremony was especially memorable. Ending the day with great company, exceptional food and a delightful sauna make for a rejuvenating, stress releasing day. Canoeing at Aski Holistic Adventures is in my upcoming summer plans. I can't wait to get back there again!
