Roka Timber Mart

I recently purchased all of my material here for a new deck from Roka Timbermart. Dave and staff have been truly amazing to deal with. I'm also going to purchase my composite from them after such a great experience.

Do not buy your firewood from Tony. Wood is not dried or seasoned. They split what they sell as they need it. My entire facecord is green wood. I was told to bring it in the house before I want to burn it to dry it out. Will never buy from them again.

Friendly service. They have large selection of lumber, hardware, and fasteners. Happy to order in any thing not in stock.

Do not buy garage plans from them. I bought plans for a 24'x24' garage and didn't realize that it only had an 8' ceiling. That's a glorified shed. They asked zero questions about my needs and I being inexperienced didn't think to ask any. When I did ask about changing the ceiling height they said it would be about another $500 to do so (on top of the $500+ I already spent). Also a couple builders told me the person who made the plans CBIN(?) license was out of date. I paid $500 only to find out in Ontario it is legal for a homeowner to draw their own plans. Anybody want to buy a set of worthless plans for $50? I am sure they will delete this review so read it while you can.Edit: I received a response from someone saying that I posted to the wrong business so why did they check with Timber Mart to see if I purchased plans? Ok, whatever. Why would they say the BCIN they provide is valid unless I did post to the correct business? (if they checked for Steve Yeltsin as having purchased, that is a Google name not my real name). Also, you don't need to take my word for it, go buy plans there and see how useless they for anyone who wants a useable garage not an oversized storage shed. Also ask how much it costs to make changes to their plans. Draw them yourself (free) or get a local draftsperson ($4-600) to draw them.

The entire team at Roka has gone above and beyond for our wildlife hospital. They always deliver on time, even when we have last minute order. They offer competitive pricing and their staff in general are a delight to deal with.Roka donated an entire wooden shed to be used as a gingerbread house for our charity fundraiser, WILD Winter Festival of Lights, they also purchased all of the lights to illuminate it.If you are looking to support local for all of your lumber needs, I highly recommend Roka!

Staff always more than willing to help, even picking through a stack of wood for those couple perfect boards. Always a pleasure to shop there......

Unbelievable experience today at this location. Stay very clear of this lumber store as they are not following the policies or procedures mandated by the provincial government. No masks being worn, no order being picked and ready for customers to pickup, was told multiple times forcefully from the manager" they are "NOT DOING CURB SIDE PICKUP"The only legal way they are allowed to operate right now. The customers are told to pick their own products and load

Needed a door and they had right size, best price.Great service. They can order anything you need and help you figure it out.

Good little store for the more commonly needed items. Very very dirty. I know we are in the country now, but wowzers. Lots of expired items too. Needs a face lift and some care for sure.Staff are very lovely though. Always helpful and that is single handed why I will shop there for time to come.
