Whiffletree Farm and Nursery

I was a bit weary trying another nursery online after I had a terrible experience with another (Paramount Nursery) but was very pleased with my orders. I have had numerous deliveries now and I did have one plant show up as the wrong size but when I reached out to Whiffletree it was quickly rectified. I would fully recommend this nursery!

I have been a customer of Whiffletree for about 7 years. Have spent over $1,500 on fruit trees for my property. Quality is hit and miss. Some trees are great, others have languished and died. I lost two last year, the same year I bought them, but Whiffletree would not exchange them as I had passed their deadline. So no more buy local, as they dont really care, so why should I. This year I ordered more trees from a place in Eastern Ontario who are very friendly and customer focused.

Ordered some raspberry plants and they are already showing signs of life in a week. I had ordered some last year from another place and none of them broke dormancy so these were a replacement set. The storage facilities here must be better. Shipping was fast as well.

I made a small purchase with Whiffletree. The plants were well packaged, and they shipped when expected. There were a couple of items I had to follow up with. I was shipped a near dead fig, and short one strawberry crown. It took time for them to get back to my concerns, they however eventually did, and they were understanding and they were fair in their handling of the outcome, I will definitely purchase from them again, thank you for your service. My main suggestion for them would be to (if possible) have someone handle the customer service requests directly so they don't languish.

Impressed with the customer service.I realized I was going to be out of town for my requested delivery date. Sent one email and they shipped everything right away so I would get my plants before I left. Plants look great so far, too.

I was finally able to plant part of our orchard(s)and vineyard this year. I placed a sizeable order through these guys in February. While the sticks in a box don't look like much at first - the tetris packing ability of the staff is impressive! - almost everything I ordered this year leafed out and is doing well. Trees were packed well and FedEx shipping is (as is usually the case for faster shipping options) very good. Healthy stuff. Excellent selection of fruit trees and shrubs. Great company. Hope to be able to order again next year.

Arrived on time. Well wrapped and in great condition. Followed planting instructions provided in the booklet enclosed with the tree.My russet apple tree is thriving just a couple of weeks later! Leafing out and covered in apple blossoms!! What a great growing experience so far.

I bought a few special apple trees last year and considerably more this year. Compared to some bareroot plants I’ve received I find the trees are packaged very well to prevent them from drying out. They come with a care guide which is a nice touch, very useful and everyone I’ve dealt with has always been helpful and pleasant.This year I sat in a long line of cars for a clearance sale and I was sure that stock would be sold out by the time it was my turn. I was very happy to discover I was able to buy pretty much everything I wanted - so a sale here is actually a sale for everyone.I was most impressed with the attention and care every customer received. Yes it was a long wait, yes there might be better ways to do it but every single person was treated with respect. If they didn’t have what you wanted they provided suggestions and genuinely tried to make everyone who was waiting happy - customer service is top notch. It’s a long drive for me but one I’ll definitely make again when I need trees.

Went to pick up my tree order, super excited to be able to grow my own kiwis in this zone! Super selection of nursery stock for your growing needs. Be sure to order early enough while there's still a large selection to choose from! Will definitely be ordering again.

Purchased a dwarf Breda Giant" medlar from Whiffletree as a walk in customer about a month ago. The bare root tree was healthy and came with an excellent information package on caring for young fruit trees. I planted my medlar following these instructions
